SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Communications Coordinator supports social media, marketing, and public relations efforts, embodying the hospitality spirit within NoHo Hospitality Group.
The Communications Coordinator (CC) supports all internal and external social media, marketing and public relations efforts led by the Communications team. The position requires maintenance of ongoing key administrative systems, assigned projects and varying daily errands. Aptitude for administration, organization, clear communication and follow through on tasks in accordance with NoHo Hospitality Group (NHG) company vision and standards is essential. This role is an ambassador of hospitality within our company.
Who You Are:
- College graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate.
- 1-3 years experience in a Social Media/Content Creation/Communications/Marketing/Public Relations position in the field of hospitality, preferably within a group of fine dining restaurants and hospitality operations.
- Interest and passion for hospitality, marketing, social media, design, photography and public relations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English, including the ability to produce technical and creative writing. Multilingualism will be considered an asset.
- Interpersonal skills with fellow employees and supervisors. Ability to get along with diverse personalities. Be tactful, mature.
- Organizational and multitasking abilities and sound administrative skills.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Google Workspace (or similar platform), Adobe Creative Suite, with willingness to adapt to new digital platforms.
- Experience with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, as well as dominant social media management platforms (e.g. Sprout Social).
- A keen and demonstrated interest in the restaurant industry, food media and culture.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Provide administrative support to the Communications Manager, completing assigned tasks in a timely, efficient manner.
- Comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
- Perform responsibilities in accordance with company standards, policies and applicable laws.
- Draft, post and execute social media content for all houses, utilizing key platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
- Capture still photography and video in our spaces.
- Edit photos for social media and press use in a timely manner.
- Assist in monitoring and tracking all appearances of our chefs, restaurants and key principles in the media.
- Maintain the database of press clips in print-resolution PDF format.
- Populate company materials with brand insignia as directed.
- Research and execute tasks relating to special projects.
