SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Communications Director will lead innovative marketing and communication plans for Kenneth Copeland Ministries, enhancing brand visibility and partner engagement while aligning initiatives with the organization's mission and vision.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Communications Director is an executive role that is responsible for developing and implementing innovative, comprehensive marketing and communication plans for this dynamic, worldwide television broadcasting and television network organization with its international church and bible college. The Director works hand in hand with the television broadcasting and network executives, in collaboration with other executive stakeholders and international executive directors. This visionary and creative executive role collaborates directly with the chief executive leaders on key ministry initiatives, major publications and books, and major television program productions. Collaborating closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, lead the strategic development and execution of marketing, branding, and growth initiatives for all brands of the Kenneth Copeland Ministries organization. Direct innovation to enhance brand visibility, partner engagement, and drive impactful communications strategies in alignment with the ministry’s mission. The role requires a leader with a deep understanding of the Christian faith and the Word of Faith teaching, extensive experience in multi-media marketing campaigns, and the production, sales and distribution of multimedia content which includes print materials, magazines, books, and digital resources.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Vision:
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies aligned with organizational mission, objectives, and core values to drive Partner and Friend engagement and to expand the ministry reach across multiple platforms.
- Lead and impart communication plans and strategies to the directors, managers, and teams for successful implementation and integration across the organization and across brands.
- Set measurable goals and KPIs to track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Brand Management:
- Support all brands of the organization including Kenneth Copeland Ministries (KCM), Eagle Mountain International Church (EMIC), Kenneth Copeland Bible College (KCBC), and VICTORY Channel (VICTORY) with its original programs like Inside the Vision, FlashPoint and VICTORY News, etc.
- Oversee strategy for and the development of creative content, including graphics, videos, and written materials that resonate with target audiences.
- Ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment across all communication channels and programming.
- Oversee the management of the organization's visual and verbal brand guidelines.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with executive leadership and internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment of marketing and communication efforts with organizational goals.
- Engage as point of contact for executive leaders and key stakeholders of all brands and branches of the organization to achieve the goals and objectives, prioritizing the work to optimize results.
- Engage with the partner relations and ministerial relations managers as well as VICTORY programmers to accomplish partner growth and development.
Campaign Development and Execution:
- Plan, execute, and evaluate integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social media, print, direct mail, broadcast media, VICTORY channel and events.
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce high-quality materials to support communication campaigns.
- Monitor and optimize campaign performance using data-driven insights in collaboration with the Business Intelligence team.
Digital Marketing:
- Lead the digital marketing strategy, including online marketing campaigns, email marketing, and social media.
- Work collaboratively with Enterprise Operations group as a key stakeholder for the organization's websites and digital platforms including email/SMS platform, apps and podcasts.
- Develop and implement social media strategies, directing the social media manager, to increase engagement and reach.
Partnership Engagement:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with ministry partners, programmers, and other stakeholders to further program reach and influence.
- Build strong relationships and employ a diverse mix of marketing, advertising, media, and strategic partner engagement campaigns using the full range of traditional and digital tools available.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage and retain Partners, ensuring they feel valued, connected to the organization and growing spiritually.
- Oversee the creation and distribution of Partner communications, including magazines, emails, social media posts and event invitations and teachings.
Development of Product and Teaching Resources:
- Develop strategy and product development of teaching resources, both print and digital for all brands.
- Collaborate with Creative Services, Creative Strategist, and executive leadership for design, art, format, and content of publications, books, magazines, audio and video teachings, and music.
Communications and Public Relations:
- Develop and execute communication plans to effectively convey key messages to stakeholders, partners and the media in collaboration with designated ministry representatives.
- Manage media relations and crisis communication and represent the organization at industry events.
- Serve as a public relations spokesperson for the organization, as assigned for specific events.
Reporting and Analytics
- Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to track, analyze, and report on the performance of marketing and communication initiatives.
- Utilize data and analytics to inform decision-making and optimize strategies.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for executive leadership and the board of directors, as requested.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of marketing and communication and strategic engagement professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Provide regular feedback, professional development opportunities, and performance evaluations to team members.
- Manage departmental budgets and allocate resources effectively.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or equivalent. Master’s degree is preferred, together with a strong knowledge of business, and experience in managing effective, external relations.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience:
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience in communications and marketing, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong alignment with Christian values, with experience in a faith-based environment preferred.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams in a mission-driven context.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that grow audience reach and impact.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with experience collaborating with executives, partners, and stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills with full capability to draft articles, position statements, print and e-communications.
- Superior project management and time management skills.
- Must be a confident communicator and presenter to internal and external audiences.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media and of the power of integrated, multichannel communications to enhance KCM’s presence.
- Initiative-taking, decisive, and resourceful with the ability to flex with rapid change, anticipate, and act quickly on opportunities.

- Manage and direct team of managers.

- Must maintain a good attendance record.
- Membership and attendance at EMIC required.
- Because of the wide range of personal contact with ministry leaders within and outside the organization, this position requires considerable diplomacy, maturity, and excellent communication skills.
