SHORT DESCRIPTION
USLI is seeking a Communications Manager to enhance and manage the brand's written content and marketing strategies within an A++ rated insurance company.
USLI is seeking a Communications Manager (3-5 years’ experience in a corporate setting) who will be responsible for creating, reviewing and maintaining all written content for the USLI brand and its value-added services, as well as strategizing for the delivery of that content. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Marketing team within an A++ AM Best rated Berkshire Hathaway insurance company.
A successful candidate will have a high level of thoroughness, is someone who understands grammar rules, can write well and with simplicity, and has an interest/experience in the marketing aspect of communications. Familiarity with a digital marketing platform e.g., HubSpot or Mailchimp is strongly preferred. This person will need to understand how to write for various audiences and be open to learning the insurance industry to effectively communicate about our brand. Having the ability to understand message engagement and analytics, identify areas of improvement and implement creative solutions is preferred. This individual will focus on marketing to USLI’s customers (wholesale brokerages and retail agencies) and policyholders (small business owners), as well as internally to the USLI community.
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
- Writing, copyediting and maintaining content for USLI’s email blasts, social media pages, websites, intranet, newsletters, presentations, coursework, marketing materials and more
- Using software like Mailchimp, HubSpot, WordPress and the Adobe Creative Suite to develop content and implement changes as needed for digital marketing
- Administering social media tasks, such as crafting wording and collaborating on graphics, scheduling posts, tracking analytics and making future recommendations
- Collaborating with other members of the Marketing team i.e., graphic designers, video production specialists and leaders
- Communicating with internal underwriting and sales departments, as well as senior level executives on projects
- Serving as a resource to our growing community as writing and marketing assistance is needed
- Auditing of our communications to maintain accuracy and keep content fresh
