QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred), 1-2 years of experience in communications or marketing, familiarity with digital marketing strategies, strong organizational skills, and willingness to learn graphic design tools.

Overview
The Communications Marketing Coordinator plays a key support role in implementing communication and marketing strategies that align with the mission of Cherry Hills Community Church. This role focuses on assisting with maintaining a consistent brand presence across all platforms, supporting the execution of local and digital marketing plans, and collaborating with various ministry leaders to enhance church programs and events. Additionally, the coordinator will help manage content creation, assist in promotional campaigns, and provide support for media relations.
Responsibilities
- Communications Strategy and Content Creation
Support the Development and Implement Communication Strategies
· Assist the Communications Director in aligning strategies with the church’s vision and mission.
· Ensure messaging consistency across platforms and ministries by collaborating with the Communications Director and other ministry leaders.
· Oversee the moderation of our weekend online live streaming on all platforms.
Create, Edit, and Distribute Content
· Coordinate newsletters, website content, and other communication channels.
· Collaborate with ministry leaders to promote church activities and events.
Implementation of Local and Digital Marketing Strategies
Execute Local and Digital Marketing Plans
· Carry out community-focused outreach through partnerships, direct mailers, and invitation campaigns.
· Ensure Cherry Hills Community Church maintains a strong digital presence by optimizing the website, utilized Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and exploring new technologies.
· Ensure all web and social media platforms are kept current, visually engaging, and user friendly.
· Post graphic, digital, and video assets on schedule, while enhancing the ease of navigation for all platforms.
· Collaborate with facilities to manage communications-related event logistics.
Planning and Execution of Promotional Campaigns
Support the Planning and Execution of Promotional Campaigns
· Assist the Communications Director in developing marketing strategies for church-wide events, outreach efforts, and special initiatives.
· Provide support for digital marketing initiatives, including email campaigns, SEO strategies, and online advertising.
· Help monitor engagement metrics and performance analytics to refine and improve future campaigns.
Brand Management and Creative Oversight
Support Brand Consistency and Excellence
· Assist the Communications Director in maintaining and enforcing brand guidelines in all promotional and communication materials to maintain Cherry Hills visual identity.
· Provide support to ensure creativity, quality, and alignment with the church’s messaging in all design work.
· Help create and update brochures, banners, and event signage, ensuring all materials reflect the church’s brand and values.
· Collaborate with facilities on signage installations.
· Assist with lobby décor and visual installations as part of enhancing the church’s atmosphere.
Media and Community Relations Support
Maintain Positive Relationships with the Media
· Partner with the Communications Director to manage local media relationships and respond to media inquires.
· Adhere to established policies for media interactions and public relations efforts.
Volunteer Management
Recruit, onboard, and train new volunteers
· Identify volunteer needs and roles.
· Recruit volunteers as needed.
· Train, lead, and guide volunteer teams for maximum impact.
· Regularly cast vision, celebrate successes, and provide continuous coaching.
· Serve as a resource for volunteers, addressing concerns and ensuring policy adherence.
· Create and manage volunteer schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all events and services.
Volunteer Administration
· Collect and review volunteer applications, ensuring all required documents are submitted.
· Initiate background checks for all volunteers and maintain up-to-date records.
· Provide ongoing support and communication to volunteers, including handling phone calls and emails.
· Organize and manage the operational details for volunteer milestone moments.
Communication Management
Ensure Timely and Thorough Responses to Communication Requests
· Manage the email account, responding to inquiries promptly and routing them to the appropriate ministries or staff as needed.
· Manage email, voicemail, and communication requests in a timely, thorough manner.
· Maintain confidentiality and build trust through professional and sensitive communication.

Experience
- Associate’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 1-2 years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field (internships or volunteer work acceptable).
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies, including social media management and basic SEO.
- Basic experience in content creation for newsletters, social media, and websites.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with attention to clear and concise messaging.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various ministry leaders and external partners.
- Willingness to learn and grow in graphic design skills, with basic experience in tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Capable of standing, walking, and moving for extended periods during events.
- Dexterity to handle small tools and equipment for maintenance and installations.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.69 - $29.54 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
