LOCATION
In-person position, part-time training starts remotely in March/April, full-time from May to August.
QUALIFICATIONS
Enthusiasm, creativity, ability to work independently, and prior experience in customer relationship management or marketing is a plus.

65% customer relationship management and administrative tasks, including supporting account management and ensuring customer satisfaction. 35% marketing projects, such as implementing marketing plans, social media strategy, and market research.

The Communications & Marketing Intern will support the company's growth through creative marketing initiatives and customer management, with a focus on lead generation and client relations.

We are looking for a resourceful individual with enthusiasm, creativity, and someone who can take on projects with little supervision. As the Communications & Marketing intern, you will help support the growth and development of our company. You will have the opportunity to work alongside the Director of Marketing and Sales to generate leads through creative marketing initiatives including web, direct mail marketing, and email communication efforts to drive our business and ensure brand consistent messaging. In addition, you will assist the sales team in maintaining customer retention and satisfaction.
During this internship, we will help you enhance your skills in developing creative marketing strategies, acquiring and retaining profitable customers, and managing customer relationships.

Job Responsibilities of the Communications & Marketing Intern (% breakdown):
65% = Customer relationship management and administrative work
- Assist the sales team in maintaining customer retention and satisfaction by performing day-to-day operational tasks including email inbox monitoring, handling phone calls, and supporting account management.
- You will also develop skills in how to work with clients professionally and learn how handle objections and complaints.
- Gather prospective clients' information and schedule appointments with our account managers.
- Day-to-day operational tasks including email inbox monitoring, invoice support, agency and vendor management, photo asset requests, and metrics gathering.
35% = Marketing projects and marketing analysis
- Support the implementation of projects and tasks on our marketing plan.
- Coordinate internet marketing and social media strategy development.
- Design direct mail postcards and letters to reach specific niches.
- Develop creative campaigns to reach potential leads within our company database.
- Coordinate and plan company events.
- Market research on buyer personas.
Part-time work (Avg. 10 hours per week) of training remotely begins in March/April.
Full-time work (40-50 hours per week) starts in May and ends at the end of August each year. We can work with you to schedule your start and end dates around your school’s schedule.
An opportunity to work part-time during the off-season months may be available.
Pay: $17 - $18 per hour
