Pay is 66,500 to 75,000 based on experience.

Job Purpose:

The Lead of Store Communications is responsible for creating and maintaining clear and effective internal communications for our Stores and field leadership. This role focuses on ensuring that all communication is accurate, consistent, and timely. The Lead also acts as the main point of contact for translation efforts, working with external vendors to make sure communications are translated correctly for different languages. A successful Lead is a strong advocate for our field teams, using this passion to guide communication strategies. Additionally, the Lead manages complex communication projects and plays a leadership role within the Store Communications team.

Duties and responsibilities:

Field Communication and Advocacy

Creates, reviews, edits, and improves content for all written communications to meet the needs of various departments within the Company (guides, manuals, tasks, memos, emails, etc.)

  • Manages development of complex, high scope communication projects (i.e. planners, communication involving several different business partners, etc.).
  • Develop strong relationships with field partners and leverages those relationships to ensure communications are high impact and relevant.
  • Collaborates with translation vendors to ensure all communications are translated accurately and in a timely manner to meet business needs.
  • Acts as the point of contact for translation requests, managing vendor relationships, ensuring adherence to project timelines, and coordinating internal reviews of translated materials.
  • Monitors the quality of translations and ensures consistency of language and terminology across all materials. Ensures all communications meet the language and accessibility needs of the target audience, particularly for stores in non-English-speaking regions.
  • Develops and implements communication strategies that support business partner needs and effectively inform field and Store audiences. • Works cross-functionally with various business partner teams; acts as a liaison between the field and corporate departments.
  • Responsible for holding business partners accountable for providing appropriate content and adhering to Communications timelines and overall strategy.
  • Maintains an appropriate voice for each targeted audience in all communications to support the company’s cultural experience. Models the company values-driven voice of leadership.
  • Proactively seeks feedback to improve communications and visits Stores to evaluate effectiveness.
  • Supports event planning and execution for annual Field Leadership meetings.
  • Designs and produces quality written and visual communications to meet the needs of the Operations group (manuals, Store meeting agendas, task management communications, guides, etc.) • Develop strong relationships with field partners and leverage those relationships to ensure communications are high impact, accurate, and relevant.

Project Management and Administration:

Responsible for preparing and publishing all types of communication for all Stores (i.e. gathers technical information, researches procedures, layouts and images).

  • Manages assigned projects to ensure that internal procedures such as schedules, proof readings, printing approvals, and job archiving have been properly completed.
  • Maintains records of translated documents and establishes indexing and tracking systems to ensure that materials are accessible and up to date.
  • Works cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure that translation projects are aligned with the broader communication strategies and timelines.
  • Provides feedback to translation vendors to continuously improve the quality and speed of translated materials. • Proposes communications solutions to senior management effectively. Strong verbal communicator.

Qualifications Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or another related field.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in relevant field.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Bilingual. Able to read and write fluently in Spanish
  • The ability to interact professionally and effectively presents information to all levels within the team and organization.

  • Advanced PC skills, Microsoft Office Applications, Publisher, Adobe Suite; experience with SharePoint and task management software a plus.

Working conditions

  • Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
  • Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
  • Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
  • Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
  • This role requires regular in-office presence, hybrid schedule; M/F remote, T/W/TH in the Dublin, CA office.
