Community Impact Manager

United Way of Lane County is seeking to hire a Community Impact Manager who will work in partnership with the Director of Community Impact to advance United Way's work in community investments, convening, agency support, and other aspects of community engagement. The ideal candidate will have experience supervising staff, strong written and verbal communication skills, and be highly organized with the ability to lead people and projects in line with strategic goals.

This is a collaborative position that will work across the community impact, education (The Early Childhood Hub), resource development, operations, and marketing and communications teams, as well as businesses; donors; nonprofit agency partners; community service groups; government agencies. This position is connected to and engaged with peer Local United Ways and United Way Worldwide colleagues for continuous learning, growth and consideration of new ideas.

This is a three-year, grant funded position. Continued employment will be dependent on available funding.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION

• An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level:
• Ground community engagement activities in anti-racism, equity, intersectionality, and other areas important to social justice.
• Understand and implement concepts of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging into work; works together to identify opportunities and unintended consequences of projects or policies within their work.
• Support community investment processes, including reporting and evaluation activities, grant review panels, and grant management database administration.
• Identify and support strategies to advance agency partners' work, including technical assistance, trainings, programmatic activities, and resource sharing.
• Represent United Way of Lane County at forums, meetings, and other community events; participate in conversations to identify United Way's unique role in community-wide solutions
• Hire and supervise hybrid employees; work with the Director of Community Impact to ensure strategic alignment across team projects

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education and Experience include:

• 1-2 years of supervisory experience
• 3-5 years of relevant, professional level experience in project management, community engagement, or similar; OR
• 2-3 years of relevant experience with applicable degree or certification in project management, non-profit management, human services, or similar

Minimum Skills and Knowledge include:

• Ability to use culturally appropriate communication to clearly and concisely correspond, both orally and in writing
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Use sound judgement and a strategic lens in decision making
• Flexible and able to respond to shifting priorities and competing demands
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite

Preferred qualifications include:

• Bilingual / Bicultural, English and Spanish; pay differential will be offered

SALARY STATEMENT

The budgeted lifespan salary range for this position is currently $51,786 - $62,143 per year. Proffered salaries are determined by several factors including applicant's knowledge, skills, experience, position, equity, and market.
