QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree preferred, 3+ years of experience in programming, development, or marketing/communication, excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, project management abilities, and proficiency in Word, Excel, Google products, and various software.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Expand Safe Harbor's reach and impact, enhance visibility, build community partnerships, manage events and presentations, and support the Senior Development Manager.

Safe Harbor is a Christ-centered community focused on rebuilding, renewing, and recovery. Our nonprofit organization supports women recovering from substance use disorder, those facing poverty or homelessness, and women in transitional housing.

Outcomes:

  • The reach and impact of Safe Harbor are expanded and the visibility is enhanced.
  • Safe Harbor is positively represented, community awareness is increased, and understanding of our programs and services is accurate.
  • Community Partnerships (Churches, Community Partners, Chamber of Commerce, Businesses, Volunteers, Donors, etc.) are built and strengthened.
  • There is a well-planned, designed, and executed written and verbal representation of Safe Harbor that is positive/effective.
  • Events/presentations are effective, engaging, and well-attended.
  • Senior Development Manager is supported.

Starting pay and title will be determined by experience and education.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of programming, development, and/or marketing/communication experience
  • Professional presentation of self
  • Confident, positive public speaker with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Transparent and ethical leadership
  • High-level strategic thinking and planning and the ability to envision and convey the organization’s strategic future to the staff, board, volunteers, and donors
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects, work interdependently, meet deadlines, and communicate project status to key stakeholders.
  • Flexible and adaptable work style with the ability to work some nights and weekends, manage competing demands, and shifting priorities
  • Must be available for special events
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Computer skills with Word, Excel, Google products, and Raiser’s Edge, Galaxy, and Apricot software
  • Willing to submit to and honor the standards outlined in Safe Harbor’s Team Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith
  • Committed to furthering Safe Harbor’s vision and mission.

Spiritual Community:

  • Evangelical Christian commitment and lifestyle consistent with Safe Harbors Statement of Faith, with a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ 1 Cor. 11:1
  • Show by example the importance of Scripture memorization, Bible study, prayer, witnessing, and Christian fellowship 1 Peter 5:3
  • Have a passion for evangelism and the spiritual welfare of all served by the ministry including program participants, guests, volunteers, customers, contributors, and staff. Matthew 28:19,20
  • Encouraged to attend a local church whose beliefs are aligned with Safe Harbor’s Statement of Faith
  • Abstain from activities or addictions that have a detrimental effect on clients or the reputation of the ministry. According to the teachings of Romans 14:13-23, to prevent becoming a stumbling block to those within the ministry who may be struggling with addictions, (Titus 2:11,12)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $47,000.00 per year
