SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Community Outreach Liaison will connect BrightQuest with the local community, facilitating partnerships, managing outreach events, and ensuring quality communication and services during client treatment.
BrightQuest Treatment Center in La Mesa, CA is hiring for a Community Outreach Liaison.
Primary Purpose and Function
The Community Outreach Liaison will be the bridge between BrightQuest and the local community, fostering connections with key referral sources, brainstorming and executing potential partnerships or methods for engagement with the local community, maintaining a calendar for outreach events, and working closely with community partners to plan and execute various outreach events. This position will work collaboratively with the Treatment Teams, providers, and referents to ensure quality customer service, communication, and collaboration before, during, and after a client’s treatment stay. This position supports facility admissions and client engagement as needed.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key referral sources such as hospitals, primary care physicians, social service agencies, and other mental health providers.
- Attend community events, conferences, and workshops to increase visibility and network with potential referral sources..
- Conduct presentations and workshops to educate the community about mental health and the services offered by the treatment center.
- Collaborate with local organizations to identify and address community needs related to mental health.
- Maintain the referent database using Salesforce. Ensure that contact information is current, and all activity is recorded daily.
- Works in collaboration with the Admissions team in obtaining requested treatment records for incoming clients, as necessary. Provides treatment records in response to incoming requests with appropriate authorization. Transmits treatment records to continuing care providers, referents, feedback professionals, etc. at the conclusion of each client’s treatment. Prepares and distributes copies of treatment records in compliance with HIPAA Privacy Law.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans in collaboration with the National Executive Director, Director of Admissions & Outreach, and BrightQuest Leadership and regularly analyze and report on referent activities, tracking admissions and referrals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, business administration, psychology, social services or related field, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a business development, marketing, or admissions role in behavioral health or a closely related field.
- Have a sound understanding of mental health and levels of care based on individual’s needs.
- Have a working understanding of in-network providers and criteria for each level of care.
- Must be able to relate well to people inside and outside the organization, use diplomacy and tact to diffuse high-tension situations, and provide solutions for problems that threaten internal and external relationships.
- Demonstrates ability to clearly and succinctly communicate verbally and in writing, with effective and dynamic presentation skills.
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed. Flexibility and adaptability in the schedule are essential.
- This position will require some onsite & local travel to support admissions, tours, and engagement within the San Diego region area.
- Have a valid driver’s license in good standing and auto insurance.
- Successfully complete drug screen and comprehensive background check.
Compensation Range for this position $80K-$140K. Dependent upon experience in the field of mental health.
