Community Outreach Specialist / Alumni Program Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 1 year Behavioral Health Outreach Experience, Valid Driver License with a clean driving record, Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination, excellent communication and customer service skills, event planning and networking experience preferred, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and social media platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing Alumni clients, planning and facilitating activities to support alumni programming, promoting Akua's Extended Care Program, educating the public, implementing strategies for alumni referrals, maintaining alumni engagement, and working collaboratively with teams to achieve internal goals.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Community Outreach Specialist / Alumni Coordinator will manage alumni programming activities and support clients in achieving lasting recovery while building and maintaining relationships within the community.
POSITION: Community Outreach Specialist / Alumni Coordinator
Target Income : Up To $ 100,000
Base $22 - $25/hour + Monthly Bonus up to $4,400

This Position is responsible for managing Alumni clients and coordinating related activities and events aimed to support our alumni programming, helping clients to achieve lasting recovery.
Currently hiring for Community Outreach Specialists for the SAN DIEGO area. This Position involves Local Travel and event planning. Tues-Sat Days / Some evenings.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Effectively establish, develop, build and maintain new relationships with alumni and partners to identify clients in need of treatment.
- Plan and facilitate activities/ wellness events to support our alumni program.
- Promote and raise awareness of Akua's Extended Care Program at conferences, community meetings, seminars, events, and maintain a positive relationship within the community and public.
- Educate the public and community about Akua's clinical programs and culture.
- Possess knowledge of clinical modalities, delivery of treatment, crisis interventions and program functions.
- Design, implement and manage strategies for alumni referrals and market penetration.
- Maintain and grow alumni database to ensure alumni engagement.
- Work collaboratively with the clinical, admissions, and marketing teams.
- Strategic travel/call completion to maintain relationships with current and new prospective community partners.
- Achieve all internal goals to maximize awareness of Akua and help clients achieve long lasting recovery.
Ideal Candidate Qualities and Experience:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills is required, must be organized and reliable.
- Ability to work both independently and with a team. Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Event planning and networking experience preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and social media platforms.
- Ability to set and maintain professional boundaries.
- Minimum of 1 year Behavioral Health Outreach Experience (Required)
- Valid Driver License - Driving and/or local travel is an essential requirement of the position, as is a clean driving record (Required)
- Proof of COVID19 Vaccination (Required)
