Seeking an experienced Conference and Event Specialist to oversee planning and execution of various events, collaborating with marketing teams, and managing sponsorships to enhance DDC's brand and drive engagement.

Job Summary::
Diné Development Corporation (DDC) is seeking an experienced Conference and Event Specialist to manage the planning, coordination, and execution of internal and external conferences, events, and sponsorships. This position will play a critical role in supporting DDC and family of companies by working closely with the Marketing Team and Growth Services Division to ensure seamless event execution. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, creative, and highly organized individual with the ability to manage multiple events and initiatives simultaneously while maintaining thorough planning and attention to detail.

The Conference and Event Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of event planning, from inception to post-event assessment. This includes collaborating with both internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure that events are successfully executed in alignment with Growth objectives. The role will be instrumental in driving DDC’s brand promotion and delivering impactful experiences.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: :
  • Manage the full lifecycle of internal and external conferences and events, including logistics planning, vendor coordination, execution, and close-out. Ensure all aspects of events are carefully planned and organized to meet objectives.
  • Manage event sponsorships, including identifying opportunities, liaising with sponsorship organizers, coordinating sponsorship packages, and ensuring DDC’s brand is effectively promoted.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the DDC Marketing Team, Growth Services Division, conference organizers, vendors, and other key stakeholders. Coordinate logistics, timelines, and resources to ensure seamless communication and timely completion of tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to develop event-specific campaigns, concepts, and messaging strategies that promote brand awareness. Propose new ideas for events and sponsorships to drive engagement and increase attendance.
  • Work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager to enhance and streamline event planning processes, ensuring efficient workflows and consistent delivery. Develop, implement, and maintain event-related policies, processes, and procedures, including event planning forms and templates.
  • Source and manage relationships with external vendors. Monitor event budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective spending.
  • Maintain and update conference and event collaboration spaces to ensure that all event-related information, documentation, and communication are organized, easily accessible, and up to date for all stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience)::
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, marketing, communications, or related field
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in conference and event planning with a proven track record of successfully executing events of varying size and complexity
  • Must be a US citizen able to pass a standard background check
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, ensuring adherence to deadlines
  • Meticulous attention to detail with exceptional organization skills
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse teams, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful with a strong sense of accountability and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Teams
