QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent writing and communication skills, knowledge of SEO principles, familiarity with Google Workspace, and experience with a Content Management System (CMS) like CraftCMS, WordPress, or Drupal. Knowledge of website analytics and SEO software is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Draft content outlines, create website pages and blogs, research local points of interest, implement SEO tactics, configure content in management systems, and report on content marketing performance.

You are a great writer with strong communication skills who is looking to contribute to and learn from a team of talented digital marketing professionals. You can efficiently execute projects and tasks, and work as part of a team to complete projects and deliver results.
You are comfortable collaborating with a team to execute on a strategic vision, and are comfortable taking the initiative to complete tasks and explore new opportunities to improve content performance online.

A day in the life of a Content Analyst at Tempest may involve
- Drafting content outlines and creating content for new website pages and blogs
- Researching things to do and points of interest in destinations to support content development efforts
- Implementing search engine optimization (SEO) tactics including on-page optimization, linking strategies, keyword optimization, and more to achieve increased visibility and traffic
- Configuring content for new website pages in website content management systems
- Reporting on results of content marketing projects and demonstrating success
Skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A passion for content writing and storytelling (short-form and long-form)
- An interest in expanding knowledge around SEO principles and strategies
- Familiarity working with Google Workspace (Google Drive, Sheets, and Docs)
- Experience working with a website Content Management System (CraftCMS, Wordpress, Drupal) is a plus
- Familiarity with Website Analytics (Google Analytics, Looker Studio) is a plus
- Familiarity with SEO software (Ahrefs, SEMRush) is a plus
- Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Llama) is a plus
