Job Summary
We seek a strategic and dynamic Content Lead to drive our brand storytelling, content strategy, and communications efforts. This versatile role will take ownership of developing and executing a cohesive content strategy that ensures brand voice and tone consistency across all channels, while creating impactful, audience-centric messaging. The Content Lead will manage the organization’s copywriting, public relations, and media relations initiatives, with additional oversight of social media strategy, community engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to amplify our message and support business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a content strategy that aligns with organizational goals, visitor insights, and marketing objectives.
- Oversee the planning, creation, and distribution of content across various platforms, including website, emails, social media, and print.
- Ensure a consistent and compelling brand voice and tone, while tailoring content for target audiences across various platforms.
- Lead copywriter, crafting engaging and impactful content and editing materials produced by the team to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with brand standards.
- Develop and execute media pitching strategies to secure high-value press coverage in alignment with organizational goals. Nurture strong media relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers to garner national media exposure.
- Spokesperson for H-D Museum & MKE Experiences, conducting media interviews and oversight of all public relations initiatives on behalf of the museum portfolio.
- Oversee strategy and execution of social media team managing @HDMuseum and @DavidsonParkMKE; ensuring strong community engagement, responding to inquiries, and monitoring trends to stay relevant.
- Track and analyze media coverage, social media engagement, and content performance metrics to develop and define strategies to drive results. Provide regular reports and insights to museum leadership highlighting successes, areas for improvement, and recommendations for future communications efforts.

Experience Requirements
Required
- Experience managing a team and developing junior talent.

- Ability to plan and organize content calendars, ensuring consistent and timely content productions.
- Experience in media relations, including track record of securing coverage and fostering relationships with media contacts.
- Familiarity with content marketing principles, social media platforms, and analytic tools.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to serve as a confident spokesperson and liaison with media.
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to balance big-picture planning with hands-on execution.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred
- Proficiency with media monitoring, content management, and analytic tools.
- Knowledge of SEO, social media strategy, and digital content best practices.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
