Position Description
The Content Marketing Manager will build, own, and execute our content strategy, positioning CivicPlus as a thought leader in the govtech space and driving top of funnel demand. As a content marketing manager, you will develop a deep knowledge of the market, our customers, and our thought leadership messaging pillars. You will also work cross-departmentally to align content strategy to business goals and ensure high-quality content that resonates with our target audiences.

- Bachelor’s in business, marketing, or communications
- 4+ years marketing experience, with 1-2 in content marketing specifically
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with inbound and outbound marketing and advertising (Examples: email, social media, SEO, SEM, ad placement, direct mail, trade shows and conferences)
- Excellent project management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties.
As a Content Marketing Manager you will:
Develop and own our editorial calendar across channels, tactics, and audiences, collaborating closely with demand generation, product marketing, and customer marketing teams to support prospecting, cross-selling, upselling, and retention campaigns. You will be responsible for the execution and timely delivery of all content assets, including blogs, eBooks, infographics, whitepapers, explainer videos, website pages, industry reports, toolkits, and demand generation webinars. By working closely with subject matter experts, customers, and external partners, you will ensure the content is accurate, relevant, and valuable to our audiences. You will conduct research and partner with internal experts to define and mature our thought leadership pillars, articulating our unique perspective on key market issues. Additionally, you will lead our organic search strategy, collaborating with the web team to develop a robust blog editorial calendar that drives organic traffic. You will track and optimize content performance across channels, partnering with marketing operations and demand generation teams to set clear goals, analyze key metrics, and run tests for continuous improvement. Your role will also include proofreading and copyediting for other marketing team members while staying informed on the latest trends in government technology, public policy, and digital transformation within the public sector.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Estimated Salary Range: $80,200 - $117,100
- The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and is based on a 40-hour work week.
