Seeking a Content Marketing Senior Associate to create effective communications for operational strategies, working closely with business partners to enhance internal and external messaging at Principal.

What You'll Do:
Do you have content writing or marketing experience? Are you passionate about creating communications that deliver critical information?

We're looking for a Content Marketing Senior Associate to join the Customer Care Strategic Solutions team!

In this role, you'll plan, design, and implement strategies for operational communications. You’ll work closely with business partners to deliver quality communications internally and externally.

Here are some examples of what you'll be doing:
  • Assist in the development of integrated communication programs and strategies
  • Use excellent writing skills to translate complex operational situations into effective, efficient, and innovative communication strategies that support business goals
  • Plan, organize, manage, and deploy communications that are targeted and well written
  • Manage projects and resources to accomplish communication objectives. Manage project execution workflow, timing, reporting, and results
  • Work collaboratively with internal partners to execute on projects
  • Develop and execute internal programs to ensure client facing team is prepared to have meaningful client conversations around operational communications

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years of work experience in communications and/or content marketing
  • Strong problem solving, project management, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to understand implications to data/information and translate into actionable strategies
  • Communication, writing, editorial, and PowerPoint skills
  • Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy are critical
  • Ability to be flexible, nimble, work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects and priorities
  • Demonstrated diplomacy skills, confidence, and tact
Skills that will help you stand out:
  • Content or writing experience in the retirement industry
  • Understanding of Principal business, products, and industry along with understanding of key audiences
  • Be results driven and detail oriented with the ability to manage change in a dynamic environment
Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $54000 - $70000 / year Time Off Program: Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Pension Eligible: Yes Additional Information:
