The Content Marketing Writer will create compelling content to support marketing initiatives and customer communications, collaborating with internal teams to optimize reach and engagement.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Content Marketing Writer reports to the VP of Marketing and is responsible for creating compelling content that supports Workforce Go’s marketing initiatives and customer communications. This role involves producing well-researched, high-quality content across multiple platforms, collaborating with various departments, and optimizing content for search engines to maximize reach and engagement.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Core Competencies):
Content Development:
Collaborate with sales, customer service leaders, and industry experts to create well-researched content for various platforms, including websites, blogs, email marketing, product descriptions, and videos (Advanced).
Provide messaging, writing, and proofreading support across all business lines, including client/participant communications, marketing collateral, training materials, and sales presentations (Advanced).
Editorial Planning and Coordination:
Build and manage an editorial calendar to ensure timely content delivery and collaborate with other content production team members to meet deadlines (Intermediate).
Work with external vendors to provide support for drafting press releases, media pitches, and other external communications as needed (Intermediate).
SEO Optimization and Performance Monitoring:
Implement search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in content creation to improve online visibility and website search rankings (Intermediate).
Monitor and analyze content performance metrics, such as key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide recommendations for content optimization and improvement (Intermediate).
Brand Voice and Standards:
Ensure all content adheres to Workforce Go's voice, writing standards, and brand guidelines, while maintaining consistency across all communication materials (Advanced).
Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with company messaging (Advanced).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Writing and Communication Skills:
Demonstrated excellence in writing, editing, and proofreading, with the ability to create high-quality, engaging content that resonates with the target audience (Advanced).
Strong command of grammar, style, and tone, with the ability to adapt to Workforce Go's voice and standards (Advanced).
Content Strategy and SEO Knowledge:
Experience with content marketing best practices, including content strategy development, SEO principles, and keyword research (Intermediate).
Ability to use content performance data to refine strategies and improve content effectiveness (Intermediate).
Project Management and Organizational Skills:
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment (Intermediate).
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail (Advanced).
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Work:
Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external vendors to achieve content goals and support marketing initiatives (Intermediate).
Adaptable and open to feedback, with a growth mindset and willingness to continuously improve (Intermediate).
CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree Preferred: In Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field.
Experience:
3-5 Years of Experience Required: In content writing, marketing communications, or a related field, with a track record of producing effective, measurable content.
HCM Knowledge Preferred: Familiarity with Payroll, People and Time or other health benefits is a plus.
Technical Skills:
SEO Tools Proficiency Preferred: Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Moz.
Content Management System (CMS) Experience Preferred: Familiarity with platforms like WordPress, Pardot, or similar.
Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Slides)
NOTE: The pay range for this position is between $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 with a 10% annual bonus potential.
