The Content Specialist will leverage their understanding of content strategy to plan and create compelling, creative, and engaging content that promotes conversions and elevates Interstates value propositions. This role involves collaborating with various teams to identify content needs, creating strategic content plans, and executing them effectively. This position will focus on ensuring that content aligns with company standards, resonates with the target audience, and drives engagement across multiple channels.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify opportunities where content is needed and collaborate with agency, management, and marketing strategists to determine the direction for content.
  • Align content across channels.
  • Work with agency, management, and marketing strategists to identify the company's target audience, develop content goals, and devise strategies to reach them.
  • Develop strategic content plans that meet company needs and goals, researching content types that appeal to clients and enhance the user experience.
  • Develop editorial calendars that align with corporate / marketing strategies and proactively ensure adherence to timelines.
  • Drive execution of strategic content plans, researching relevant topics to create content.
  • Ensure content consistency with company standards and develop recurring formats to maintain content quality.
  • Manage and promote company content on relevant third-party platforms, recognizing opportunities to repurpose content topics.
  • Monitor competition to ensure content remains competitive and relevant.
  • Possess a strong understanding of writing content that performs well, including knowledge of SEO & SEM.
  • Stay updated on market trends, analyze content marketing metrics, and interpret data and analytics to inform content decisions and optimize for engagement and performance.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop and implement strategies for trade shows.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. Two to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
This position requires strong organizational and planning skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail. Strategic thinking capabilities are essential for developing effective content strategies that align with business objectives. Excellent communication skills are necessary for collaborating with cross-functional teams and conveying insights effectively. This role demands a proactive individual with a passion for marketing and the ability to adapt to evolving industry trends and technologies.

Travel: 20% travel time may be expected. Travel times will vary according to the marketing needs. Occasional visits may be required to the various offices.
