The Content Strategist will conceptualize and deliver bespoke content executions while collaborating with a global team, bridging sales, production, and marketing efforts.

The Content Strategist role is based in our vibrant Times Square office in New York City. You will play a crucial part in bridging sales, production, and marketing to conceptualize and deliver bespoke content executions both on and off Reuters platforms. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a global team and will report to our Head of Content Strategy in London.

About The Role

As a Content Strategist, you will:

  • Proactively manage the daily RFP process by generating creative, actionable, and unique content ideas that demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the client’s business, sector, audience, and marketing initiatives.
  • Lead inspiring creative brainstorm sessions with key internal stakeholders, ensuring all ideas are effectively documented and communicated promptly to team members.
  • Articulate concepts clearly within engaging presentations designed to drive revenue for the company, including across Financial Services, Technology, Pharmaceutical, and Sustainability/Energy verticals.
  • Work closely with Reuters internal teams (Marketing, Sales, Project Managers) to ensure all proposals are on brand, feasible, and deliverable.
  • Manage and track all proposals, keeping key stakeholders informed of progress, solution delivery, and client feedback.
  • Proactively learn about new product offerings and incorporate them into client proposals when relevant.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Reuters Plus, Integrated Marketing, Events, Marketing, Product) to create innovative products, ideas, and campaign concepts for the sales team to proactively pitch.

About You

To be our Content Strategist, you will likely have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree.
  • Excellent writing skills and a strong curiosity and interest in the world of business.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in content strategy in media, client marketing, public relations, or publishing (either marketing or editorial).
  • A background in B2B content strategy or content marketing within a media organization.
  • An understanding of the content production process.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional verbal and personal skills with the ability to be client-facing.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with an interest in news, digital media, sales, marketing, and emerging technologies.
  • A creative approach, and be someone who thrives in marketing strategy and development.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $81,600 - $151,600. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
