Seeking a versatile Copywriter to create engaging, on-brand content for various platforms, focusing on B2B communications and consumer initiatives to enhance employment marketing and talent attraction for BlueForge Alliance.

We are a unifying organization converging technology, manufacturing, economics, and state and federal government to provide a forward-facing, federated umbrella with national visibility.
As a non-profit, neutral convener, BlueForge Alliance aligns strategy with execution to coordinate regional stakeholders, assess and propose high-value efforts, and rapidly establish and deploy U.S. Department of Defense investments. By streamlining competing priorities and viewpoints, we aim to increase manufacturing capacity and technology adoption, boost the number of available suppliers and diversify investment into the defense industrial base.
Position Summary:
As a Copywriter you will partner closely with the Creative Director to bring the organization’s brand and external consumer-facing marketing efforts to life through compelling, on-brand copy crafting content across digital, social media, print, video, and experiential campaigns. In addition, this role will adapt writing styles to address both B2B communications on behalf of BFA and consumer-focused external brand initiatives. This role requires a versatile writer who can transform technical, complex information into clear, engaging narratives that resonate with broad audiences, particularly in the context of employment marketing and talent attraction. The ideal candidate will excel at storytelling, ideating fresh concepts, and adjusting messaging to suit various channels and audience needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Creative Director to brainstorm, ideate, and execute concepts that align with strategic objectives and meet the brand’s employment marketing goals.
- Produce compelling copy for a wide range of materials including digital campaigns, social media posts, email marketing, print collateral, video scripts, website content, and experiential activations.
- Simplify technical and industry-specific information into approachable, relatable content for diverse audiences.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across all formats and channels, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Write engaging, platform-appropriate copy for social media to drive community engagement, brand awareness, and audience growth.
- Ensure all copy is accurate, consistent, and adheres to brand guidelines, delivering a polished final product.
- Partner with designers, video producers, project managers, and other creatives to produce cohesive and effective storytelling across all media.
- Keep up to date with industry, employment marketing, and pop culture trends, integrating relevant elements into content to engage audiences.
- Share ideas and concepts with the team, clearly articulating the rationale behind creative choices and alignment with brand strategy.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of work, including digital, social, and traditional marketing content, ideally demonstrating technical content made approachable.
- Strong copywriting skills with a demonstrated ability to craft strategic, engaging, and persuasive content across multiple channels.
- Ability to take technical, industry-specific language and transform it into approachable, relatable content for broader audiences.
- Skilled in crafting strategic, engaging, and persuasive copy across multiple channels, tailoring style and tone to both B2B and consumer-facing contexts.
- Meticulous proofreading and editing abilities, with a focus on delivering error-free, high-quality content.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, able to incorporate feedback and direction from the Creative Director and other stakeholders.
- Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
- Awareness of social media, digital marketing best practices, and current cultural trends to enhance content.
- Comfortable presenting ideas to internal teams, with an ability to articulate the strategic rationale behind creative choices.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Education, Certifications, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Creative Writing or related field, or equivalent years of experience in a similar role.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional copywriting experience, ideally in a marketing or agency setting with a focus on employment or recruitment marketing.
- Experience in employment or recruitment marketing is preferred, with an understanding of how to attract and engage talent.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Travel Expectations:
- Expected travel: up to 20% monthly
