The Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing position with Vista Hospitality is both a revenue-generating and a support position within geographic and/or brand parameters for two or more Vista properties.
The Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing will be responsible for producing group room, catering and certain transient segments (LNR, KNR/NNR) revenues. Success in this area will be determined by the results generated to an established revenue goal and property budgets set for monthly and annual measurements
The Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing will also perform support to the property-level Directors of Sales within the assigned area. This will involve lead generation and property-to-property referrals, client negotiations, marketplace intelligence and community involvement.
As a support position, The Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing will attend various meetings and video calls (Sales meetings, Revenue meetings, Vista Corporate calls, et al) as required for the designated area.
Below is an outline of the incremental position responsibilities to be managed with all properties within the assigned sales area.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
- Proactively solicit prospects for new and repeat business within all market segments.
- Perform joint calls and site visits with property-level Directors of Sales when required.
- Achieve/exceed personal sales revenue goals on a consistent basis.
- Adhere to rate and inventory management plans when developing proposals and agreements.
- Assist with the development of annual hotel marketing plan and revenue areas of the annual budget for hotels within the assigned region.
- Complete responses to assigned brand and external RFPs accurately and on a timely basis.
- Manage the company CRM (Customer Relations Management) application (STS Cloud) to document sales activity, account and client contact information and various reporting as required.
- Yield group room rates through the CRM to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Yield banquet/meeting space to maximize occupancy, rental revenue, and profitability.
- Work with the area Revenue Manager and property-level Directors of Sales on the overall yielding of sleeping room revenues.
- Assist with the management of the annual National Negotiated account request for proposal process.
- Assist with the management of the annual Local Negotiated rate request for proposal process.
- Provide accurate periodic reports to Executive Management as required on a timely basis.
- Work with property-level Directors of Sales on the maintenance of major accounts to ensure service levels and year-to-year revenue growth.
- Ensure personal achievement of all sales goals including solicitation, revenue generation and profitability.
- Assist with the management of property-level marketing assets to ensure quality, proper inventory levels and reasonable updating periods.
- Provide to Executive Level personnel, working with the General Managers and Directors of Sales accurate and timely forecasting of divisional revenues when requested.
- Assist with ensuring the accuracy of all client and vendor agreements and update as required.
- Represent the hotel as an “ambassador” within the community to include industry organizations.
- Perform, with property-level staff recurrent SWOT analyses of the competitive set and utilize various measurement applications (STR, Hotelligence) to ensure a maximum RevPar index.
- Assist ensuring the accuracy and quality of content within all 3rd party applications and websites.
- Communicate and provide required information to brand representatives as requested.
- Assist with the production of various marketing assets including photo and video shoots.
- Travel as required to properties within the sales area to assist with sales efforts as directed.
- Attend as requested various property-level meetings including staff, revenue, sales department.

· Sales ability and skill in both oral and written form.
· Personal computer knowledge desirable (STS Cloud, Delphi, Microsoft Word, Excel, PMS).
· Use/knowledge of Brand applications including PMS, CRM, AI Rate Management applications.
· Ability to identify and develop accounts.
· Additional language skills desirable.
