Reports to: Director of Customer Success

Now, we’re seeking a passionate Customer User Group Manager to lead and grow a thriving community of library professionals who use our platform to make a difference.

What You’ll Do

As the Customer User Group Manager, you will design and oversee an engaging, collaborative user group program to empower our library partners, foster knowledge-sharing, and shape the future of Communico’s platform. You’ll act as the bridge between our customers and internal teams, championing customer needs while creating opportunities for learning and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build Community: Establish and grow a dynamic user group for library professionals, creating a space where they can connect, share best practices, and collaborate.
  • Facilitate Engagement: Host virtual and in-person meetings, webinars, and workshops that inspire participation, knowledge-sharing, and meaningful dialogue.
  • Customer Advocacy: Serve as the voice of the customer, gathering insights and feedback to influence Communico’s product roadmap and strategy.
  • Event Management: Plan and execute annual user group conferences, regional meetups, and other networking opportunities that bring our library partners together.
  • Content Development: Create resources such as newsletters, user guides, and case studies to keep the community informed and engaged.
  • Program Growth: Develop strategies to expand user group membership, including creating subgroups tailored to specific interests or challenges.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Customer Success, Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to align user group initiatives with company goals.
  • Track Metrics: Measure participation, satisfaction, and the impact of user group activities to ensure continuous improvement.

You are a natural community builder with a passion for public libraries and customer success. You thrive on creating meaningful connections, facilitating discussions, and driving engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years in customer success, community management, or event management, ideally in a SaaS or technology-focused role.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire and connect with diverse audiences.
  • Organized: Strong project management skills, capable of juggling multiple initiatives and meeting deadlines.
  • Collaborative: A team player who works well across departments to achieve shared goals.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with community platforms, CRM tools, and virtual event software.
  • Customer-Focused: A genuine passion for understanding and meeting customer needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with public libraries or library technology but we get thats niche but working with similar niche communities a bonus.
  • Event planning and facilitation expertise.
  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms and subscription-based business models.
