Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Research, Statistics, Math, or a related discipline preferred; proficiency in data visualization software (PowerBI, Tableau); advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with survey development services; competency in CRM/database management.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Data Research Coordinator supports the Visit Phoenix Data Research Department by analyzing data, conducting market research, and providing insights to inform business and community stakeholders.
The Data Research Coordinator will support the Visit Phoenix Data Research Department by assisting with conducting market research, analyzing data, and providing insights that inform business decisions, assist businesses, and inform community stakeholders. The Data Research Coordinator is responsible for gathering, organizing, and interpreting data from various internal and third-party sources such as surveys, reports, and databases.
This individual will assist with identifying trends and patterns. This role requires strong analytical and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate must be proficient in using data visualization software (Tableau or BI) and other tools to perform data analysis and have strong communication skills to present findings to team members and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Who is Visit Phoenix? We are a non-profit organization that promotes the Greater Phoenix community to a global audience of travelers. We book conventions at the Phoenix Convention Center, area resorts & hotels and provide research for the benefit of our members.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Produce weekly and monthly reports on data trends for relevant departments and organization stakeholders.
- Assist with database maintenance and reorganization.
- Modernize existing reports, identify new ways to express current data, and develop new reports.
- Refine and create data information dashboards.
- Assist department manager and VP with external data requests.
- Assist in tracking destination marketing trends and best practices from major destinations, sharing insights and analysis with key marketing and agency staff.
- Gather intelligence and review the effectiveness of various leisure marketing activities.
- Attend marketing and tourism department meetings, including meetings with creative digital marketing agencies.
- Assist in determining target audiences for Visit Phoenix leisure travel and tourism initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Research, Statistics, Math, or a related discipline preferred.
- Ability to analyze data sets to create visualizations and summaries using PowerBI and/or Tableau analytics software. Certification Preferred.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Excel (pivot table, v-lookup).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with survey development services or software (Survey Monkey, Qualtrics, Microsoft Forms).
- CRM/Database management, Simpleview CRM experience is a plus.
- Competency in translating complex concepts and methodologies into easily understood language.
- Ability to present and speak publicly.

Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
