QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, at least two years of experience in higher education or a related area, knowledge of Title IX regulations, and proficiency with Maxient, Google, and Microsoft Office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct Title IX investigations, maintain records, manage online training, provide educational training, update Title IX resources, assist in awareness campaigns, and complete Clery reports while keeping up-to-date with federal and state regulations.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Deputy Title IX Coordinator assists the university in compliance with Title IX and other related laws, conducting investigations, and training while fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
Keep abreast of changes in guidance at the federal and state levels to communicate the current changes in Title IX program by participating in annual and ongoing training, and self-educating
Conduct Title IX investigations and informal resolutions
Maintain detailed records of reports/cases in Maxient, Box, Google Drive, and Microsoft 360
Assist with managing the annual online employee sexual harassment prevention training
Conduct effective in-person/virtual Title IX educational prevention training for various constituents across the campus community
Assist with creating and updating internal office resource documents and Title IX documents, and other marketing materials
Assist with updating the Title IX website
Assist with developing and implementing the Sexual Assault Awareness Month campaign and the Domestic Violence Awareness Month campaign by collaborating with stakeholders across the campus
Assist with the completion of the annual Clery and IPSHVE reports by maintaining and updating detailed records of annual campus training and reports received
COMMUNICATIONS
This position requires a person with strong communication skills to communicate and interpret policy verbally and in writing, using effective interpersonal skills. This person will work directly with the Title IX staff and collaborate with various stakeholders across the university. This person will possess active listening skills and
accurate note-taking ability as well as solid editing skills for use when editing office resources documents, policy manuals, marketing material, and letter-writing campaigns to make the language clear, accurate, and reader-friendly
CUSTOMER SERVICE
This position requires using effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to demonstrate empathy and to use trauma-informed skills. This position requires someone who can engage and build relationships with students and student organizations, campus partners, and community organizations on an ongoing basis, making sure to use inclusive language that fosters a more supportive and understanding environment for individuals of diverse identities and orientations.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field. At least two years of experience working in higher education or a field related to the position (sexual assault, domestic violence, law, etc.), including experience in counseling. Knowledge of Title IX rules and regulations, the Clery Act, VAWA , and the Illinois Preventing Sexual Violence in Higher Education Act. Must be tech-savvy.

Key Responsibility
Conducting Title IX Investigations and Informal Resolutions. This responsibility requires being skilled at conducting investigations, which includes active listening skills, accurate note-taking, the ability to ask critical questions during interviews, and the ability to write detailed summary reports.
This position includes managing Maxient for all Title IX cases reviewed; developing and implementing the annual Sexual Assault Awareness Month campaign; managing the annual staff and faculty sexual harassment training as well as providing individual in-person training for the campus community, specifically students and student organizations; manage and update the Title IX website; manage and develop the annual Title IX newsletter campaign; assist with completing Clery and IPSVHE includes keeping impeccable records of annual training offered and maintaining Title IX cases reviewed; staying abreast of federal and state Title IX regulations: Continually build and develop relationships with students and student organizations.
