QUALIFICATIONS
BFA or MFA in Graphic Design with a minimum GPA of 3.0, 7+ years in design and project management, 3-5 years of creative team leadership, experience in various media for marketing, knowledge of rendering, photography, and video production, and willingness to travel up to 10%.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
Seeking a Design Studio Manager to oversee creative development and execution, manage the NYC Communications team, and foster collaboration while producing high-quality marketing materials.
The Design Studio Manager leads the New York City Communications team operations, managing work and work flow into and out of the office, coordinating communication and collaboration between the corporate, creative leaders, marketing, other stakeholders, and other Lutron design teams around the USA. You will also spearhead some design work directly across a wide range of media, from digital to video and motion. You will be a champion of team culture, integrating work and initiatives and proactively providing team support and motivating effort to your team.
- Collaborate on, develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables based on creative direction provided by Lutron’s senior creative leaders
- Coordinate communication and collaboration between creative teams, marketing, and other stakeholders
- Facilitate project kickoff meetings, status updates, and reviews, ensuring all stakeholders and team are aligned on project goals, expectations, and progress
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify and address any risks, issues, or roadblocks that may impact project success
- Ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed department and marketing expectations and are delivered on time and within budget
- Provide effective support to teams as needed and be an escalation point for issues and resolution to senior leadership
- Utilize advanced organization skills and high attention to detail to manage team documentation, including briefs, statements of work, and project reports
- Drive continuous improvement and seek opportunities to improve project management processes, effectiveness, and team collaboration
- Manage and develop the New York creative team’s unity and esprit de corps, building a robust and engaged team
- Actively contribute to a positive, innovative, and collaborative work environment
- Understand the skill needs of the team and manage recruiting of new talent
- BFA or MFA in Graphic Design with minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Seven or more years of total work experience in design and project management developing marketing and communications materials in an agency, manufacturer, or reseller of building products
- Three to five years of creative team general leadership
- Experience in a wide range of media for marketing programs – web, digital, brochures, trade shows, sales programs, advertising, social media as well as knowledge of rendering, photography and video production
- Experience with agency or vendor management
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
