Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related degree program, with a general understanding of computer hardware and software troubleshooting. Knowledge of Office 365 applications and Windows 10 is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Solve complex hardware and software issues, troubleshoot network connectivity and application problems, configure and maintain computer hardware, ensure password security, document trouble tickets, and gain experience with Microsoft’s SCCM and MECM while following processes for quality service delivery.

Join the End User Services team as a Desktop Support intern to enhance your troubleshooting skills in a dynamic environment, enabling Seagate employees by providing exceptional technical support and solutions.

The mission of the End User Services organization, which includes this desktop support position, is to enable the success of Seagate employees by providing exceptional services that set the standard for customer service, quality, professionalism, business technology and cost optimization. End User Services is part of Corporate IT.
About the role - you will:
- Leverage your creativity in solving complex hardware and software issues related to an end user’s computer.
- Gain valuable insight in troubleshooting network connectivity, application, hardware, audio visual and telephony equipment problems faced by our end user community.
- Learn how to quickly adapt to situations faced by the end user in a fast-paced environment.
- Gain real world experience in configuring, deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting computer hardware in an enterprise environment.
- Obtain a general understanding of the Active Directory environment.
- Learn how to follow processes and procedures to ensure that the highest quality of work is delivered to the end-user with minimal disruptions.
- Build experience with maintaining password security, data integrity, and file system security for the laptop/desktop environment utilizing Bitlocker.
- Document trouble tickets from inception through closure in an Enterprise Incident Management System such as Service Now.
- Gain experience with Microsoft’s System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
- Work Mon-Fri, 8 am to 5 pm. There are no work-from-home opportunities for this position.
About you:
- An excellent communicator, both verbally and in written form.
- Ability to communicate with customers, peers, and management concerning the status of cases, problems, or suggestions.
- Experience in creating and executing innovative solutions to solve complex technical support problems.
- Experience using critical thinking skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Ability to take proactive, corrective actions, to resolve issues in advance of system problems.
Your experience includes:
- A general understanding of computer hardware and software troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Knowledge of Office 365 online applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and OneNote) and Windows 10 OS.
- Pursing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software engineering or a related degree program and must be enrolled in Fall 2025 courses.
You May Also Have:
- Relevant Technical Certifications a plus, including Microsoft, A+ and HDI preferred.
- Hands-on experience in Information Technology solutions and services.
- Customer Service or Desktop Support is a plus.

The estimated base salary range for this position in the San Francisco Bay Area is: $21 -$31. Actual salary range is based on the regional labor market of the role in the geography in which the position is located based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
