SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Development and Marketing Director will lead fundraising efforts and marketing strategies to achieve SNSC's mission and annual goals while enhancing community collaboration and brand presence.
Position Title: Development and Marketing Director
Hours: 40 hours per week; hybrid position
Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000, depending on experience
Position Summary
The Development Director must commit to SNSC’s mission, vision, and values and lead our brand strategy's development, implementation, and evaluation. In charge of all development, the individual will ensure that our annual fundraising goals are met through grant writing, fundraising, and special events, as well as develop and implement marketing and communication plans and strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Commitment to SNSC’s mission, vision, and values;
- Develop, implement, and evaluate fundraising plans that lead to the achievement of our annual fundraising goals;
- Find and write grants to achieve our budget goals;
- Develop, implement, and evaluate strategies to expand the number of businesses and partners who collaborate with SNSC;
- Identify and attend relevant community meetings and events as a representative of SNSC and join local coalitions as a representative of SNSC;
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of a brand strategy;
- Develop and implement marketing and communication plans and strategies, including public relations, media relations, online giving, digital communications, key messaging, storytelling, and brand experience;
- Collaborate effectively with staff, executive director, and board members
Qualifications and Skills
- Must possess a strong commitment to collaboration and effective teamwork within the organization and the broader community;
- Must be able to develop a deep understanding of our target audiences and communicate effectively with children with disabilities, family members, donors, businesses, and community organizations as needed;
- Must possess strong written skills (Previous grant writing experience is a plus)
- Must be able to take positive action in solving problems;
- Must remain open-minded and willing to grow based on emerging information.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
- A thorough understanding of marketing strategies and practices, as well as market developments, is required, including Google ads, online and email marketing, and social media;
- Proficiency with Salesforce is required.
