Development Data Manager (Raiser's Edge)
LOCATION
Under the supervision of the Chief Development Officer.
QUALIFICATIONS
AS or AA degree in Business, Finance, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of three years CRM database experience, preferably with Raiser’s Edge. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee donor system and data integrity, prepare donor communications, maintain mailing schedules, track donor relations, and assist with the database. Direct supervision of Development Specialist I. Generate reports to support development and finance needs.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Development Data Manager ensures effective management of donor relationships and data to support fundraising efforts and enhance donor stewardship.
The Development Data Manager is under the supervision of the Chief Development Officer. This position oversees the Raiser’s Edge donor system, data integrity, reporting and measuring outcomes of gifts, initiatives, and programs. The incumbent will also be responsible for supporting the execution of the department’s annual development plan as well as providing any donor data that will support strategic initiatives for the department.
Education & Experience
- AS or AA degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years CRM database experience.
- Raiser’s Edge experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Ability to be proficient in all aspects of database entry and administration, including preparation and entry of data, performing queries, exports, program configuration, generating reports, report design, data analysis and trouble shooting.
- Must be experienced with general finance and accounting procedures used in office settings.
- Ability to make evaluative judgments.
- Ability to maintain records.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Must be familiar with standard Microsoft Office applications and proficient in Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge or similar contact data management system.
- Must have sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and ethics.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Ensures donors are acknowledged and recognized to strengthen their financial support through acknowledgement letters, tribute cards and any other recognition as determined for donor stewardship
- Disseminates strategic communications through multiple mediums in a timely fashion. This will include, but is not limited to gift acknowledgements, invitations, newsletters, fundraising campaign materials, and tribute mailings.
- Prepares mailing lists for all appeals and donor communications.
- Develops, in coordination with Development team, a list of targeted audiences for (online) marketing/stewardship communications.
- Maintains department’s mailing schedule for all external print communications with donors in conjunction with Director of Marketing and Communications.
- Tracks and prepares reports for donor relations and stewardship activities in the donor database to enhance relationships and increase the likelihood of continued contributions.
- Prepares regular record maintenance queries to ensure records are up-to-date.
- Prepares reports to support general Development Department needs and reconciliation needs with the Finance Department.
- Assists other users in various capacities relating to the database, including but not limited to queries, reports and mailings.
SUPERVISION
This position includes direct supervision of the Development Specialist I.
