WHAT YOU’LL DO
The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) is seeking a passionate fundraising professional to cultivate and manage corporate and individual relationships in the Northeast Ohio market. The primary responsibilities will include developing and stewarding both existing and new corporate partners, individual donors, and volunteers through special events and strategic partnerships.
This individual will identify new opportunities to grow engagement across various fundraising channels, including corporate partnerships, memorial giving, special events, and individual contributions. A successful candidate will be responsible for managing and nurturing a portfolio of corporate and individual relationships, collaborating with team members to drive growth, and achieving both mission and revenue goals. This role is accountable for meeting significant revenue targets.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, sales, and relationship management. Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are essential. The ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and thrive in a team environment is key.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the planning, execution, budgeting, and evaluation of assigned events, including but not limited to the NKF Golf Classic, Cleveland Kidney Walk, Toledo Kidney Walk, and Komedy for Kidneys.
- Manage event chairs and committees for signature programs.
- Collaborate with the development team to influence and drive relationships, ensuring alignment with market and regional financial goals.
- Develop and steward a portfolio of relationships that support the mission through various funding sources, including sponsorships, retail campaigns, event teams, grants, donations, and other partnerships.
- Create revenue projections and provide financial analysis to ensure financial health and goal attainment.
- Oversee stewardship activities to ensure timely and high-quality engagement with partners and donors.
- Work closely with high-level volunteers to provide local leadership, resources, and partnership opportunities.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all constituents, maintaining strong and positive relationships.
- Ensure compliance with ADA policies, including employment, risk management, event and cash handling, and financial controls.
- Uphold values of integrity, collaboration, and stewardship in all aspects of the role.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL POSSESS
- Bachelor’s degree and 3-4 years of non-profit, fundraising and/or sales experience preferred
- Established success in fundraising and non-profit leadership
- Proven record of success in account management and developing corporate partnerships that result in exceeding revenue targets
- Knowledge of product marketing/sales concepts
- Outcome-driven with the ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in computer-based information systems
- Ability to work some nights and weekends

WORKING CONDITIONS, EQUIPMENT USED AND SPECIAL INFORMATION
Must have unimpeachable integrity and trustworthiness while possessing a high degree of tact, discretion and professionalism. Verbal and written communication skills will be used daily. Maintain effectiveness under pressure. Competency in use of a multiple-line telephone, personal computer, fax machine, photocopier and other standard office equipment. Flexibility to work overtime when needed will be required. Must be flexible for overnight business travel which may include weekends, weekdays and holidays. (Estimate 6 trips annually).
