This position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time; and occasionally carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

Shift
Primarily Monday through Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm. As an exempt-level position, additional hours will be required in order to meet job and departmental needs, including evenings and weekends as required for donor events and travel.

Job Summary
UK Office of Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement and the Philanthropic Partnerships, Events, & Programs Team is seeking a Director of Philanthropic Community Programs to support the UK HealthCare, UK College of Medicine (COM) Department of Pediatrics and Kentucky Children’s Hospital and Clinics. The Director will report to the Senior Director of Philanthropy, Philanthropic Partnerships, Events, & Programs. With a primary focus on partnership and program giving, the Director of Philanthropic Community Programs will engage a variety of community partners to progressively increase giving. The incumbent will be responsible for the development, implementation, and growth of Circle of Blue membership, the signature philanthropic program for the UK Department of Pediatrics and the Kentucky Children’s Hospital and Clinics as well as community partner programs for UK HealthCare and the Health Colleges.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Ability to make and execute marketing and philanthropy plans; excellent interpersonal communication, public speaking and written communication skills; Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience/skills with fundraising/sales, marketing, media, donor relations, community relations.

Preferred Education/Experience
At least six years’ experience in community relations, fundraising, marketing, or public relations preferred.
