The Program Manager will oversee digital technology programs, ensuring effective implementation and management while supporting the growth and transformation initiatives of the company.

The Program Manager provides leadership, management, and direction for programs and investments across the Digital Technology portfolio. Will support multiple programs and/or portfolios which will include multiple projects with various degrees of complexity, primarily medium to high complexity. Supervisory responsibility for Project Managers supporting Program or Portfolio of projects – including development, training, mentoring/coaching, oversight, guidance, and risk/issue or conflict resolution.

The Program Manager will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the Digital Tech operating model in partnership with the Delivery, Product and Engineering teams. This role will direct transformation initiatives for activating and scaling the digital operating model and ensures organizational change management, communications, learning and development resources are provided to enable capability growth and accelerated adoption of the new ways of working.

How You'll Shine:

  • Oversees continuous communication to business and Technology leadership, project managers, project teams, customers, vendors, and sponsors regarding the status of the program or portfolio. Partners with sponsor to provide program progress and status updates to executive leadership.
  • Supports the monthly, quarterly and annual capital investment planning, reporting and adjustments for the Digital Technology Portfolio and in alignment with enterprise IT forecasting processes.
  • Plans and facilitates the key ceremonies across the 3 operating tiers of the Digital Operating Model and ensures business intake priorities facilitated via the Product Office are managed within the approved IT capital investment priorities whether they are new product capability, tech modernization or aspirational business requests.
  • Implements and makes recommendations to improve established processes supporting the digital operating model, including Agile and Product Management processes. Effectively tracks and reports on key metrics and KPI’s across the Digital portfolio to ensure quality and value targets are achieved.
  • Performs other duties as needed

Travel Requirements

  • Ability to travel will be necessary for this position to meet with Business partners and field operational leaders as needed. Travel will be domestic US travel.
  • Travel for this position will be generally less than 10%

What You'll Bring:

  • 4-year degree, MBA preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Agile, Scrum or SAFe certification or experience preferred
  • PMI Certification, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification will be beneficial
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, negotiation, mentoring and personnel management
  • Experience managing resources – including establishing development plans, coaching/mentoring, & conflict resolution
  • Experience managing program level and project financials, schedules, scope and risks using established methodology.
  • Experience managing internal and external client expectations on program requirements and deliverables
  • Experience leading large and diverse IT project teams in a matrix environment – including internal resources, vendors, onsite and co-located teams, and ensuring successful completion of all phases of complex programs
  • Experience leading medium to large scale new application development or infrastructure deployment projects
  • Experience with and knowledge of multiple systems development life cycles, (i.e. Iterative, Agile, Waterfall, etc).
  • Experience in procurement management of large projects – including identifying procurement / vendor needs, selecting vendors, managing relationships, & monitoring performance
  • The ability to work on multiple competing priorities
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience communicating at a Senior Leadership level
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence or equivalent toolsets
  • Experience with Clarity PPM or other Portfolio / Program Management Software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Visio?
  • 7+ years of experience in a Project and/or Program Management role with a strong background in team development and Program Management office as well as leading large programs.
  • 5+ years in an information technology capacity with understanding of various technologies including, applications, databases, networking, telecommunications and connectivity
  • 3+ years' experience with Agile Projects preferred
  • Preferred experience in one of the specific business areas is preferred:
    • Travel and Hospitality Services
    • eCommerce
    • Customer Service, including Reservations
    • Resort Management
    • Sales & Marketing
    • Information Technology

Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
