The Digital Lending Specialist is responsible for owning the day-to-day activities of the Byline Express program including loan originations, renewals and following up on delinquent payments. The program includes overdraft protection loans, term loans, and lines of credit between $1,000 - $500,000 in revenue. The focus is on efficiently lending to existing customers while owning robust credit quality and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own the Byline Express loan process and follow up with clients that fall behind on payments. Works directly with the Business Banker or Branch Manager assigned to the loan.
  • Process and onboard new and existing customers for overdraft protection loans, term loans and lines of credit.
  • Ensure required information is recorded in Numerated for overdraft protection loans, term loans and lines of credit. This includes a screenshot of the business filing on Cyberdrive, a copy of the signed 8821 and a copy of tax transcripts.
  • Manage the maintenance of the Numerated loan platform by partnering with the vendor. This would include any system upgrades and/or maintenance that need to be performed and tested.
  • Credit experience or be willing to do light underwriting of credit requests up to $500,000.
  • Perform maintenance of the procedures and credit requirements related to the products offered.
  • Oversees Byline Express reporting and functionality for new and existing compliance reporting such as Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) and Fair Lending. Continued exploration of system optimization and accuracy.
  • Ability to analyze data and present to middle and upper management the effectiveness of the portfolio
  • Be able to search for solutions alone or work with others where appropriate. Can disseminate between resources available and efficiently chose what to deploy.
  • Work with other Bank departments to close and payoff accounts when necessary.
  • Partners with Marketing to optimize Byline Express performance through online campaigns, analytics, and other virtual methods.
  • Partners with Learning & Development to conduct numerated system training and demos.
  • Monitor line of credit maturities and complete renewals as needed.
  • Monitor risk ratings of Numerated loans.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of retail banking experience, with proven results over time.
  • Proven desire and ability to coach and work with bank/branch partners.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State regulations covering commercial banking activities.
  • Formal Credit Training (Analysis of Business and Personal Tax Returns) preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and adequate keyboarding skills required.
  • Must be extremely self-motivated team player.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of customer information.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices.

Compensation & Benefits:
Byline Bank offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.

The salary range for this position is between $70,000 to $109,500.

Depending on the specific role, compensation may also include discretionary bonuses and other benefit programs. The actual compensation package may vary based on factors such as skill set, experience level, and candidate's location.
