Role:
The Digital Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator will be focused on growing the brand
of The Escape Game through 3 main priorities: Booking Influencer games, leading the team’s
backlinking efforts, and contributing to email marketing. This role will lean towards a
modern-day Public Relations approach to digital marketing. This will mean a day-to-day of
calling on local media partners for coverage and placement on their websites, negotiating
and booking a constant flow of local influencer posts, and running local email campaigns
that drive store revenue. Whatever the channel, whatever the strategy, the Digital Marketing
and Public Relations Coordinator will attack every opportunity to grow the presence of The
Escape Game’s brand. They will do so with top-notch copywriting, impeccable relationship
building, and a guest-obsessed mindset that embodies TEG’s values.
KPI’s:
- Number of backlinks obtained by the whole team
- Number of views from influencer posts
Responsibilities:
Influencers and Brand Ambassadors
Our Digital Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator will lead the charge in one of TEG’s
biggest opportunities for growth: hyper-local influencer marketing. These hyper-local
influences are not the accounts with the biggest followings but the ones most relevant to our
guests because they are highlighting events, date night activities, and more in their city. Our
Digital Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator will be the main person doing outreach
but not the only one on the team doing so. This will require a mix of “in the weeds”, hands-on
work as well as a project management mindset to multiply these efforts across others on the
team. This work will also extend to finding a new group of brand ambassadors for TEG.
Backlinking
Inbound links are a vital part of TEG’s SEO and PR strategies. This role will work with bloggers,
local news, and more to find what value we can provide them. Whether it’s video content,
photo assets, press releases - whatever brings enough value to their audience for them to link
back to our website. The best version of this role will be diligent in testing new outreach
tactics and meticulously crafting emails to see what gets the most response. You’ll become
an expert with our outreach software, Muckrack, to make the most of your time!
Email Marketing
This position will contribute meaningfully to the email marketing strategy of TEG by focusing
on campaigns at a local level. This will mean making the most of store launches, new game
infills, partnerships, and any other opportunity they find to truly engage and delight our local
audience.
CRM Maintenance
The Digital Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator knows that no great email strategy
can exist without having the proper maintenance in place for our CRM of choice: Hubspot.
This position will take lead on execution of that strategy while collaborating with others on
the team to make sure we handle each contact with the proper amount of care to keep our
fans engaged and open rates high.

The world of marketing, especially digital marketing, is changing all the time! Our whole
team has to be flexible and excited to move their responsibilities as quickly as priorities,
strategies, and algorithms change. Whatever comes up, we want everyone on the team to be
excited to attack it with excellence and passion.
