Salary Range: $45,000 - $50,000

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Creative Action is looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team and help expand our digital presence, elevate our brand, and support our community outreach efforts. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career marketing professional to gain hands-on experience in a mission-driven organization that transforms lives through arts education.

As the Digital Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in social media management, graphic design, and content creation. Your contributions will help bring Creative Action’s programs to life, connect with our audiences, and amplify the stories of the students and communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy aligned with Creative Action’s mission and goals.

Content Creation & Management:

  • Oversee the creation, curation, and publication of engaging content across all digital platforms, including the website, social media, email newsletters, and blogs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to craft compelling stories and campaigns that highlight Creative Action’s programs, events, and impact.

Social Media Management:

  • Manage and grow Creative Action’s social media presence across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and emerging channels.
  • Monitor trends and analytics to maximize engagement and follower growth.

Website & SEO:

  • Oversee website updates, ensuring content is current, engaging, and optimized for SEO.
  • Analyze website performance and user behavior to improve the user experience.
  • Plan and implement strategies for SEO, digital analytics, and AI-driven marketing to enhance online visibility and performance.

Email Marketing & CRM:

  • Develop targeted email marketing campaigns to engage donors, supporters, and program participants.
  • Maintain and segment the CRM database for effective audience targeting.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Track, measure, and analyze the performance of digital campaigns, providing actionable insights.
  • Prepare reports on key performance metrics and ROI.

Advertising & Fundraising Campaigns:

  • Design and execute paid advertising campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Collaborate with the Development team to create digital campaigns that support fundraising efforts, donor engagement, and special events

Graphic Design

  • Develop visually compelling graphics for social media, newsletters, and event promotion.
  • Support branding efforts by ensuring materials adhere to style guidelines.

General Marketing Support

  • Assist with email campaigns, blog posts, and website updates.
  • Coordinate event promotion and provide on-site support for marketing needs. This will require some nights and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Experience:
  • 3–5 years of experience in digital marketing, preferably in the nonprofit sector or arts organization.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, including Google Analytics, Google Ads, social media management platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer), and email marketing software (e.g., Constant Contact).
  • Experience with WordPress, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and donor databases.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong storytelling, writing, and editing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with a knack for interpreting data to inform strategy.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability to new challenges.

General Requirements

  • Commitment to Social Justice: Actively participate in Creative Action’s social justice initiatives, including regular “Lunch ‘n Learns,” company-wide meetings, and ongoing learning to foster a culture of equity and inclusion.
  • Support development events as needed.
  • Participate in Creative Action community events.
  • Attend all required full-time staff meetings and training sessions.

WHAT WE OFFER

Annual salary is $45,000 - $50,000 per year, health plan contributions, life insurance, long-term disability, an employee assistance program and unlimited mental health benefits. We also offer generous paid time off, including two rejuvenation weeks, 12 weeks of paid maternity/paternity leave and a flexible/hybrid work environment.
