Seeking a Digital Marketing Manager to enhance revenue and visibility through digital initiatives, support marketing strategies, and engage with audiences both online and in the community.
Historic Hudson Valley (www.hudsonvalley.org), is a Westchester-based cultural non-profit that welcomes visitors to five National Historic Landmarks, presents public tours, programs for schoolchildren, and seasonal festivals including the Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze.
Historic Hudson Valley’s Communications & Commerce Department seeks an experienced, digital savvy Digital Marketing Manager who will help the department increase revenue, visibility, and awareness for Historic Hudson Valley and the organization’s initiatives, both on-site, online, and in the community.
The Digital Marketing Manager supports digital functions and initiatives to reach established and new audiences. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Digital Marketing Manager’s primary responsibilities are managing the marketing and shopping websites, overseeing and implementing email marketing strategy and calendars, and social media content, planning, and strategy. Additionally, this role assists in developing overall marketing strategies, sourcing and/or creating digital marketing materials, database and CMS management, and a variety of back-end maintenance tasks.
Traditional lines between marketing, media relations, publishing, and customer engagement are blurred, and HHV’s marketing team embraces this as a source of growth and employs strategies that take advantage of new opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have three to seven years of professional experience with a proven track record in media, marketing, and/or public relations, preferably with exposure to cultural or entertainment organizations, and be a strategic thinker with excellent judgement.
Web
Upload and maintain content on marketing, ticketing, shopping websites, and education microsites
Develop or source creative and compelling content for websites, including creating webpages, blogs, graphics, and videos
Create and maintain content calendar
Assist with monitoring Google Analytics and report on trends and data
Optimize websites and all content for SEO
Manage app updates and alerts
Manage all listings, including Google My Business
Email Communications
Collaborate with marketing team to develop and implement email communication strategies
Design and deploy digital marketing communications, including newsletters, surveys, and customer-service emails
Track, evaluate, and report on email campaign results
Utilize our CRM to generate targeted lists as needed
Support digital communications efforts for other internal departments, including Education, Development, Membership, and Retail
Coordinate email communications schedule with all departments
Develop and coordinate email cross-promotions with external partners
Social Media
Develop and curate content, including graphics and videos
Strengthen influencer marketing programs with a goal of driving audience acquisition, engagement, and growth
Create and maintain a social media calendar
Monitor engagement, responding as appropriate with followers
Coordinate social media campaigns, including partnerships, and assist with reporting
Digital Advertising
Assist in developing and executing comprehensive digital advertising campaigns across various platforms (e.g., Google Ads, social media advertising) to achieve marketing and brand awareness goals
Manage campaign budgets and optimize and report on campaign results to stakeholders, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and insights

Strong technical and digital skills including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Office 365, online content management systems including Wordpress, HTML, social media management tools, email management tools, and other digital platforms
Proficient, clear writer and excellent storyteller with editing skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Strong organizational skills
Social media experience
Experience with Tessitura, Wordpress, and Prospect 2 preferred
