JOB DESCRIPTION
The Digital Marketing Producer/Videographer will play a key role in producing engaging, faith-filled content for Lakewood Church’s extensive social media audience of nearly 40 million subscribers. This position involves concept development, video production, and post-production work for Lakewood Church, Joel Osteen, Lakewood Music, and Next Gen, helping to bring compelling stories to life through video across social media and digital platforms.
This position reports to the Senior Digital Marketing Producer.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Pre-Production
- Concept Development: Collaborate with the Senior Digital Marketing Producer and Creative Team to develop innovative video concepts and storyboards that resonate with our audiences
- Location Scouting: Identify and secure the best locations for video shoots ensuring alignment with project goals
- Equipment Preparation: Prepare and manage all necessary equipment including cameras, lighting, and audio gear ensuring they are ready for production
Production
- Filming: Operate high-end cameras and recording equipment to capture cinematic, high-quality footage of live events, music, and interviews
- Lighting Setup: Design and manage lighting to create the desired aesthetic for each scene ensuring a professional look
- Audio Recording: Set up and optimize audio equipment to capture clear high-quality sound for video content
- Set Management: Ensure that the set is organized, safe, and fully prepared for filming
- Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve any technical challenges quickly and efficiently to avoid delays during production
Post-Production
- Video Editing: Edit raw footage using industry-standard software (Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects) to create a polished final product that is visually compelling and engaging
- Sound Design: Mix and edit audio tracks including music, sound effects, and voiceovers ensuring clear and professional sound quality
- Color Correction: Apply advanced color grading and correction techniques to enhance the visual appeal and match the project’s aesthetic
- Graphics & Animation: Integrate motion graphics and animations to elevate the storytelling when needed
- Review & Revisions: Collaborate with the Senior Digital Marketing Producer to review and refine edits based on feedback
- Final Delivery: Export and deliver videos in appropriate formats for social media platforms, websites, and digital screens
General Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead the production of assigned video projects from start to finish ensuring timely delivery
- Clear Communication: Maintain transparent communication with the Senior Digital Marketing Producer and Marketing/Brand Director throughout each project
- Collaborative Approach: Work closely with other team members including designers, photographers, and producers to ensure smooth collaboration
- Industry Awareness: Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and video production techniques to keep content fresh and relevant
- File Management: Organize and manage digital assets while maintaining efficient storage and backup procedures
- Creative Contributions: Offer creative ideas and suggestions to enhance video projects ensuring each piece is captivating and on-brand
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior team members and interns when needed

- Regular attendance at Church services and classes
- Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church, and
- Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time when needed by the Church
QUALIFICATIONS
- Uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Church’s vision, mission, values, and core beliefs
- Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, and other industry-standard editing and color grading tools
- Extensive experience in handheld camera operation specifically in live events such as church gatherings, music performances, and conferences
- Proficiency in shooting interviews for social media, web, or broadcast
- Strong lighting expertise for interviews and set designs, paired with basic audio field production knowledge
- Experience editing video content using Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, and After Effects
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok) and creating optimized video content for these platforms
- Expertise in formatting content for LED walls and digital displays
- Experience in producing both small and large budget shoots, with a proven ability to tell compelling stories through video, sound, and text
- Proficiency in handling a wide range of cameras, including Arri, RED, Sony, Blackmagic, and others
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus but not required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in video production, including editing and post-production work
- At least 5 years of experience with creative software systems like Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve
