TITLE: Digital Marketing Specialist
JOB OVERVIEW: The Digital Marketing Specialist is a critical member of the Marketing & Outreach team, responsible for managing, optimizing, and innovating the digital marketing assets for our hospital and Clinic Network. This role partners with other members of the team to develop, implement, and monitor digital marketing strategies to enhance our online presence, engage our audience, and drive patient acquisition.
DEPARTMENT: Marketing
WORK HOURS: Full time Monday-Friday; typically, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Some evenings and weekends may be required to meet department needs.
REPORTS TO: Director, Communications & Outreach
PREREQUISITES:
Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, IT, or related field, required.
Minimum of four (4) years' experience in a communications, marketing, or IT department, required. Experience in a marketing technology role (e.g., MarTech, CRM management, digital transformation) is highly preferred.
Minimum of four (4) years' experience with general database design (architecture & user interface), data maintenance & integration, report design, data analysis, as well as staff training and mentoring in the use of databases and database information required.
Experience with CMS management, including SEO and analytics, required.
Experience with intranet/website planning and interface development, including page layout, creation of graphic elements, creating hyperlinks, and HTML scripting. SharePoint 365 experience desired.
Experience using events management software such as Fonteva.
Healthcare experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Hands-on experience with database analytics / reporting and Excel.
Knowledge of HIPPA regulations and cybersecurity best practices related to digital marketing and patient data.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Strong sense of urgency, flexibility, and comfortable working under pressure.
Strong team player and ability to create partnerships with various levels of management and vendors.
Able to organize work, set priorities, manage staff and consultants, keep clients updated on project phases, and oversee multiple projects concurrently.

Essential Responsibilities and Competencies:
Oversees development of Valley Medical Center website through CMS platform. Updates online content, ensuring the website is user-friendly, optimized for SEO, and aligns with branding guidelines. Manages outside contractors, monitors fees and quality of work.
Monitors and analyzes website traffic and user behavior using Google Analytics. Provides insights and recommendations to improve digital marketing performance. Builds custom reports and cross trains team members on accessing analytics.
Develops and drives CRM strategy using traditional and interactive marketing channels to help grow service lines and elicit desired consumer response. Utilize Salesforce and other CRM tools to manage patient/donor data, track marketing campaigns, and optimize customer relationship management.
Builds and oversees marketing automation campaigns, integrating Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or similar platform) to drive personalization and patient acquisition. Ensure seamless data integration between marketing platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools. Guides patients, donors, and prospective patients through the funnel, from awareness to conversion.
Supports maintenance of the organization's WordPress blog, including troubleshooting performance issues, formatting, and publishing. Ensures that blog posts are optimized for SEO, visually appealing, and aligned with the organization's branding. Monitors blog performance and engagement, and implements improvements based on analytics.
Optimizes the organization's website and digital content for search engines by implementing SEO strategies. Conducts keyword research, monitors rankings, and ensures that content aligns with best practices to improve organic search visibility and drive traffic to the website.
Manage the technical infrastructure of the digital marketing ecosystem, including CMS platforms, CRMs, and database architecture. Work closely with IT to ensure cybersecurity measures are in place for patient data and digital assets.
Oversees project completion from start to finish, keeping client informed throughout the process, and collecting client feedback at project completion.
Recommends appropriate marketing tools for various clients/departments.
Serves as a consultant to VMC staff/clients in the use and optimization of the intranet.
Works closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, clinical staff, and external vendors, to ensure seamless execution of digital marketing initiatives.
Participates in and supports special events as needed as part of the Marketing Team.
Reports to leadership in a timely manner regarding workload and issues pertaining to the department.
Adheres to budgets for projects.
Works with outside vendors to obtain high quality services at the best possible price.
