Summary

The Digital Content Media Strategist is pivotal and responsible for collaborating with team members to create content for building client communities using social media channels, the CareerSource Suncoast (CSS) website, email marketing, video production, live events, etc. This self-starter role identifies and creates content using a wide range of techniques, and formats content for various platforms. By utilizing graphic design, photography, videography and producing/editing/publishing skills, the content creator documents, curates and publishes content relevant to target audiences.

Primary Duties

Video coordination, production, editing and publishing

o Plan, coordinate and produce video content which includes clients at CSS events, remote video interviews with job seekers, employers and community partners

o Trim video content to create shorter videos and snippets for specific audiences

o Manage special video projects with 3rd party videographers

o Competence with video-editing software (Adobe Premier preferred)

Photography

o Capture, process and edit images

o Arrange objects, scenes, lighting and background

o Shoot engaging visual stories and create dynamic visual content

Graphic Design

o Competence with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign) and/or Canva to create and edit images, infographics, thumbnails and other design elements to promote content

Social Media, Website, Email Marketing

o Add and update events and other content on Facebook and website

o Work alongside Economic Development Manager to design, create content for and manage email marketing campaigns

o Proficiency with WordPress, Elementor, and associated plug-in applications

  • Take pillar content (video, testimonials, etc.) and create micro-content that includes core topics, sub-topics and topic clusters which are valuable to our clients.)
    • Create digital content to be used across multiple channels: YouTube, CSS website, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, blogs, MailChimp, and occasionally for print production (brochure, signage, advertising, etc.)
    • Work directly with CSS staff to make their content ideas come to life through videos, photos, podcasts, PowerPoint presentations, website articles and more.
    • Track content status in Microsoft Project (ideation, planning, in progress, editing, uploading, published) as well as marketing requests made through JIRA
    • Upload final content to CSS Content Library for Economic Development Manager to deploy
    • Participate in regular content creation meetings

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in visual arts, graphic design, marketing or advertising related, or comparable experience
  • Prefer experience with producing and recording live streaming content
  • Vlogging/YouTube content style video creation experience
  • Intermediate/Advanced photography skills
  • Prefer 2-3 years of digital content creation experience, specifically with visual storytelling, social media, photography/videography.
  • Must be willing to travel to Career Centers within the region (Sarasota and Manatee Counties) and no transportation is provided by CSS, although mileage reimbursement is available.
