Reports to Director of Communications
Overview
Holy Spirit Parish of Lawrence County is seeking a part-time Digital Media Specialist to join our Communications Department. You will play a supportive role in creating effective communications and advertising for our Parish and its related organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Livestream: Setup, schedule, and carry out Parish Livestream for daily Mass, weekend Masses, and special events. Create livestream overlays and organize/schedule livestream volunteers.
  • Website: Update Parish Website with daily livestream changes, obituaries, news features, etc.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Create and conduct online marketing campaigns using provided software.
  • Youtube: Manage Parish Youtube Channel, making continuous improvements to visual aesthetic.
  • Media Equipment: Support the Communications Department and Parish Ministries by providing general photography, videography, and setup of parish technology.
  • Marketing Materials: Design and produce flyers, brochures, and social media content to support marketing initiatives.
  • Events & Special Projects: Assist in event and project planning, as needed.
  • Social Media Management: Help to create and schedule engaging social media content, monitor interactions, and analyze performance metrics to optimize engagement.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records and provide regular monitoring and feedback on areas of responsibility.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Media/Marketing or equivalent internship with a degree in Media, Marketing, or Communications-related fields a plus
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Previous experience with graphic design software (i.e. Canva), social media (Facebook, Youtube, X, Instagram), and Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Apps preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a creative mindset for design
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in customer support preferred
  • Must comply with Diocese of Pittsburgh Safe Environment requirements
