QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or a related discipline, 5-7 years of experience in social media and/or influencer marketing, advanced knowledge of SEO/SEM and social media platforms.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Digital Strategist will create and execute digital strategies to enhance engagement, brand awareness, and audience growth across NKBA’s social channels and website.
Summary of Position
The Digital Strategist will be responsible for creating and implementing the association’s digital strategy across NKBA’s social channels and website. Success will be measured by user engagement, brand awareness, audience growth and improved SEO. This role involves collaborating with multiple departments, analyzing metrics, and adapting campaigns to meet business objectives. The ideal candidate combines creativity and analytical skills to deliver campaigns and ideas that drive measurable success while aligning with the Association’s messaging and overall business goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop data-driven digital strategies tailored to multiple target audiences
- Use analytics tools such as Google Analytics to track campaign performance, identify trends and optimize strategies
- Analyze metrics to constantly modify campaigns and improve results
- Implement SEO to optimize digital content to consistently increase website views and search ability
- Stay up to date on digital trends and tools to ensure that strategies and plans remain innovative and competitive
- Work closely with NKBA’s agencies of record, multiple NKBA departments, and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure social and website strategies, content and plans achieve NKBA’s overall business objectives
- Consistently scour NKBA website to find and implement keywords to increase website search opportunities and placement. This will include creation of a paid media plan to purchase select keywords to increase SEO.
- Create content calendar for posts across multiple social platforms, including Instagram, Facebook (including NKBA, NKBA chapter and special partner pages) and LinkedIn
- Generate content for key brand initiatives and in support of NKBA as an industry leader, aligning with brand voice and aesthetic
- Think creatively about ways to increase brand awareness, optimize engagement, and continually grow a targeted following on social media
- Create a strategy and execute a year long plan to increase website traffic
- Manage and maintain private groups, community, and customer service on social media
- Lead website/social sponsorship programs, partnering with the sales and sponsorship teams on these initiatives
- Create monthly analytics reports for the Senior Leadership Team for the website and all social platforms
- Identify additional digital opportunities to increase awareness of our social channels and website
- Work with video and photo production team to create digital assets for website and social platforms
- Develop and implement a strategy for NKBA employees, members and partners to conduct social “campaigns” to promote the association and our activities, across their personal channels
- Develop and manage the paid media budget and evaluate spend and results monthly as part of the monthly leadership team analytics report
- Manage a social media influencer campaign across multiple platforms
- Attend and participate in the annual KBIS trade show and other events as needed

Education & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or similar discipline (required)
- 5-7 years of experience in social media and/or influencer marketing and digital strategy in a corporate or agency setting
- Advanced knowledge of social media, including but not limited to: LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize projects to meet deadlines in a very high volume, fast-paced environment
- Ability to shift priorities in response to changing strategy
- Advanced knowledge of SEO/SEM
- Excellent planning and project management skills with a strong attention to detail
- Creative thinker, who can apply out of the box thinking to problem-solving and big picture concepts.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Ability to communicate with managers on a regular basis regarding content schedule and production, social strategy + analytics, trends, and audience growth both orally and in writing as required

Physical Requirements
- Hybrid Workplace: Works in both a standard office environment and from home. Employees are required to travel to the Association headquarters as needed for all staff & department meetings, events, etc. as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds, on occasion, such as office products and supplies.
- Must be willing to travel overnight a few times per year (< 10% travel) and work overtime when required as per business needs.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to communicate via phone and in person, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arm, and to sit at a desk and use a computer for prolonged periods of time, with reasonable breaks.
