The Digital Capabilities Senior Manager is responsible for execution and acceleration of our Data Strategy, Digital Capabilities Portfolio, and Strategic Programs in support of the MedTech Supply Chain (MTSC) digital transformation strategy. They will be a member of the MTSC Digital Council and support global, cross-franchise and cross-function initiatives to deliver value from strategic focuses including development and ongoing utilization of the Common Data Layer (CDL). They will also play a central role in coordination and execution of the federated digital portfolio in the sector, partnering with the franchises, functions, and regions to optimize investments and leverage capabilities across organizations. The incumbent will also play a critical role by leading key programs to deliver central digital solutions like end-to-end visibility, multi-enterprise collaboration, and decision support analytics. The position will be highly visible and connected to all parts of the overall MTSC and will routinely partner with the J&J enterprise supply chain organization to develop standards and drive capability improvements to the MedTech sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Strategy Development

  • Develop roadmap and drive delivery of the milestones for Common Data Layer (CDL) development
  • Lead overall execution of the MTSC data strategy in the CDL (data delivery needs, consumption, costs, etc.)
  • Lead intake and prioritization of data requirements from all MTSC source (franchises, functions, regions, programs, etc.)
  • Partner with JJT to develop CDL assets and deliver data on time to meet MTSC digital portfolio needs.
  • Partner with functional data stewards to establish logical data object strategy for non-ERP systems
  • Continue to evolve and improve data design standards and governance to ensure reliability and usability of CDL assets in the future

Digital Capabilities Portfolio Execution

  • Develop single source of truth for the portfolio and drive clarity to MTSC digital investments
  • Build a robust Digital Product Catalogue including a lifecycle management process and tool that enables leverage and supervises solution development.
  • Establish standards for portfolio management and lead portfolio governance processes
  • Partner with the enterprise and the franchises to foster ideation and innovation developing an approach to intake and triage potential digital solutions.

Strategic Program Delivery

  • Lead deployment of global, sector-wide strategic initiatives
  • Develop project and digital product roadmaps, resourcing plans, execution plans, and organizational change plans
  • Lead internal / external project teams and project budgets
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders from project team members through executive sponsors

Other focuses

  • Proactively support the talent strategy for both development and sourcing of digital talent.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry associations and thought leaders as benchmarks for current capability and opportunities for innovation
  • Continue evolution of digital role in MTSC to include additional responsibilities as the need arises


Qualifications

Required:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required; Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Information Technology, Data Science or related field highly preferred
  • Advanced degree such as a M.S. or MBA preferred
  • A minimum of 8 years of related experience is required
  • Cross-functional, global team leadership experience is required
  • Knowledge of supply chain data sources with a proven track record of developing and successfully implementing solutions using data to achieve business objectives is required.
  • Strong record of building capabilities within large organizations and project management experience is required
  • Project management experience is required
  • Change management experience is required
  • Strong communication and stakeholder alignment skills are required
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in bridging technical and business disciplines is required
  • Ability to lead and develop people is required
  • Ability to lead without direct authority through influence is required

Preferred:

  • Healthcare industry experience is preferred
  • Agile methodology experience is preferred.
  • Lean, six-sigma, or process excellence methodology experience is preferred
  • Use of data-driven decision making and quantitative analysis skills to drive business results is preferred
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics, machine learning, AI, modeling, simulation, etc. is preferred

Other:

  • Up to 10% of domestic and international travel may be required
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate business requirements when necessary


The anticipated base pay range for this position is $120,000 to $207,000.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. · Please use the following language:

Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
