Support the Head of Business Planning and Strategy for the AT&T Wireless Account; enhance mobile device sales and market share; oversee financial and business planning initiatives; negotiate contracts and terms; assess financial implications and risks; optimize trade spending through ROI assessment; manage P&L forecasting activities.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
Seeking a Sr. Manager or Director of Business Planning to drive sales and profitability for Samsung’s top 5 customer, AT&T Wireless, through strategic planning, financial oversight, and cross-functional collaboration.

- Deep understanding of key initiatives and identifying new growth opportunities to drive incremental revenue and profitability. Drive contractual term negotiations and alignment with customers and within internal Samsung stakeholders and leadership
- Fully understand and communicate financial implications, business obligations, and any potential risks to leadership. Provide financial and contractual term guidelines to internal teams to ensure compliance
- Negotiate MPA terms with customers to address business objectives and strategies
- Financial oversight to optimize trade spending through ROI assessment with sales and marketing teams
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L forecasting activities
- BS Degree and / or 15+ years’ total experience in consulting, internal strategy, contract relations, finance, or business planning roles in top-tier, branded, fast-moving companies.
- Experienced in sales operations and planning, sales performance analytics
- Outstanding financial acumen, organizational planning, and talent selection skills required.
- A proven self-starter, he/she must be a highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good business judgment, and outstanding managerial leadership ability.
- Ability to bring outstanding interpersonal skills (including excellent oral and written communication), strong intellect, and problem-solving skills to any discussion with colleagues and/or customers.
- The ideal candidate will be a consummate leader with a proven ability to build, grow, and inspire teams. They will demonstrate dynamic leadership ability, strong cross-functional and team-building skills, and the ability to manage effectively across the organization.
- Finally, the top candidate will be guided by process-improvement techniques that continuously improve the organization's operations.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company.
- Ability to influence strategies and make decisions using a data-driven approach
- Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.
- Review detailed product development, marketing documents, and media materials.
- Demonstrated competency in oral and written communication modes for internal and external personnel at various levels.
- Work independently and in a team environment to achieve customer business objectives, personal goals, and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
- The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on vaguely defined objectives.
- The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
- Work is generally performed in an office environment.
- Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 90% of work time, including prolonged periods.
- The movement and transportation of equipment are usually under 25 pounds.
- Performs work under time schedules and stresses, typically periodic or cyclical, including time-sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid overtime, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress.
- Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PCs, printers, and office work areas.
- Frequently works additional hours beyond regular schedule.
- Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored, and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions. Complete access to confidential company data where disclosure may jeopardize the company’s competitive position.
