The Director, Collegiate Baseball Marketing oversees contractual agreements, builds relationships within collegiate baseball, and drives brand strategy and marketing initiatives for Rawlings and Easton Brands.

General Overview
: The Director, Collegiate Baseball Marketing is responsible for managing and negotiating contractual agreements with collegiate baseball programs for Rawlings and Easton Brands. This position builds and maintains solid relationships while driving the strategy to solidify our brands as the leader with collegiate baseball teams across the country. The Director, Collegiate Baseball Marketing is also responsible for the management of our contractual agreements to ensure all aspects are being executed while adding new schools to our portfolio that advance our collegiate position.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage and negotiate contractual agreements with collegiate schools and coaches.
  • Direct contact for day-to-day communication with our advisory staff baseball teams, coaches, and players.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with our collegiate advisory staff schools.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Unit Leads, Sales, Brand Engagement and R&D.
  • Actively market our teams via our social and digital assets, catalogs, key tradeshows.
  • Assists with the planning and coordination of departmental meetings, tradeshows, RGGA and grass roots events.
  • Assists in NIL and amateur organization management.
  • Establishes effective working relationships with all departments within the organization.
  • Keeps department head informed of economic, competition, and other factors affecting the collegiate baseball channel.
  • Prepares necessary reports to manage the day-to-day collegiate marketing activity and evaluates and communicates success or areas of improvement.
  • Develops and manages budgets effectively.
  • Coordinates presentations at sales meeting, for catalog, Rawlings website, and any required conventions/tradeshows.
  • Drives, manages, and achieves all goals as assigned by department head.
  • Business and strategic plan development.
  • Completes department projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree in sports management, marketing, or related field.
  • 7-10 years’ experience in sales or marketing in sporting goods industry.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Cognos, Incorta.
  • Strong numbers aptitude with prior analytical experience
  • Ability to evaluate and make intelligent and rapid decisions.
  • Solid relationship building skillset.
  • Proven project management, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced demanding work environment.
  • Strong product and brand knowledge base with hard goods and soft goods.

Working Conditions:
