The Director, Content is responsible for developing and executing a strategic content plan that enhances brand engagement and drives lead generation for Curi, serving the needs of its various business units.

The Role

We are looking for a creative and an enthusiastic individual to work on our Marketing & Communications team as a Director Content. In this role, you will report to the VP , Marketing & Communications and be responsible for leading comprehensive and externally facing content strategy – creation, execution, and measurement of a diverse range of content – at the Curi Holdings enterprise level and in support of its business units as applicable.

Key Result Areas

  • Owns strategy, direction, and continuous development/implementation of content that differentiates Curi, informs customers, and powers defined stages of our marketing funnel to generate, nurture and convert leads
  • Understands target audiences deeply and crafts content strategies that resonate, engage, educate, and drive affinity for the Curi brand
  • Proactively pitches and produces compelling, actionable content that aligns with broader marketing and business objectives as well as the unique needs of each department’s goals and targets
  • Oversees company blog, plus drives increased subscriptions and sustained/increasing subscriber engagement with posts and related stable of blog authors
  • Oversees News & Knowledge section of company website to ensure proper mix of educational content and resources to help customers; partners with marketing team to continuously promote it
  • Produces a variety of short- and long-form content across traditional and digital applications, including e-books, infographics, videos, articles, white papers, case studies, etc., for and in collaboration with the marketing team
  • Directs a small team to prioritize and manage related content responsibilities
  • Upholds Curi’s vision, mission and values, brand essence, positioning, pillars, and brand voice
  • Uses various brand strategies, creative approaches, and available distribution channels to achieve desired results
  • Owns and manages Editorial Board and content calendar; publishes for maximum visibility and buy-in across the company
  • Serves as the company’s editor for messaging where needed
  • Delivers projects on time and within budget

  • Seasoned writer who can successfully navigate various communications needs, types, formats, and channels that educate and engage clients, prospects, and other industry partners
  • Has the right mix of polish and professionalism to support and influence leadership

  • Manages multiple strategic workstreams simultaneously
  • Customer-service oriented (can easily liaise/collaborate with internal clients)
  • Familiarity with various enabling marketing technologies used within the team (SEO, marketing automation, video management, AI)
  • Strong SEO skills
  • Experienced with leveraging AI to advance capabilities
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Great at reporting and illustrating forward progress
  • Displays leadership, influence, and decisiveness
  • Can successfully prioritize workload
  • Has successfully implemented and/or partnered on content marketing campaigns
  • Great combination of creative and business writing skills
  • Proactive, organized, efficient and accountable
  • Strong work ethic, hands-on
  • Can delegate within team and/or pull team in to help/collaborate

Work Environment

This job operates in a (office environment & home office environment). This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, smart phones, photocopiers/scanners, shredders and filing cabinets.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm with flexibility.
