SHORT DESCRIPTION

The Creative Services Director leads a team to develop innovative creative solutions aligned with company branding, collaboratively executing projects across multiple channels to drive business goals.

The Creative Services Director will translate business needs into powerful creative executions. This role will lead a dedicated team of creative professionals and work with internal cross-functional teams and external agency partners to ensure our creative supports our overall brand strategy, achieves business objectives, and is delivered through a customer-centric approach. The ideal candidate is collaborative, resourceful, has an in-depth understanding of the creative production process, experience managing and directing creative teams and a track-record of growing a brand with high-volume creative requirements effectively. This role is responsible for executing creative aligned to the core brand message across all channels of business, such as eCommerce, paid media, organic social, email, event, retail and PR and aligns the organizational communications and messaging with the brand, both internally and externally.


Responsibilities:

  • Creates and builds excitement around seasonal and annual creative briefs,
  • Directs the overall quality, innovation, and vision of the creative services team, ensuring a high-quality execution across all media and campaigns.
  • Creates and maintains an environment of collaboration within the creative, merchandising, and marketing teams, responsive to company’s needs.
  • Oversees deliverables, leads team to meet all timelines.
  • Builds and manages the budget for creative services team.
  • Manages and leads creative reviews and presentations, presenting concepts and narratives for senior management and cross functional teams to influence business and creative decisions.
  • Manages creative team across all functions: creative image, graphic design, video, motion graphics, content, production.
  • Access to a network of creative resources: photographers, stylists, producers, etc. for realization of project-based work.

  • Strong organizational and critical thinking capabilities; must be able to manage budgets and timelines, while delivering high quality results; attention to detail is a must.


Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in creative leadership role for multi-channel brand or retailer, specializing in fashion, home, and consumer products, or Agency manager of creative studio.
  • A strong portfolio, including finished product and creative briefs, demonstrating a passion and understanding of apparel and home markets and the ability to execute vision.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, merchandising, business, or other related field
  • Superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Exceptional organization, project management and team building abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, excel and be at ease with ambiguity and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.


System Qualifications:

  • Up to date skills in Adobe CS programs, including Acrobat, Photoshop, Figma and InDesign as well as MS Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Project Management tools such as Asana, MoodBoard

Location: San Francisco, CA / Hybrid Schedule; Willingness to work out of the corporate office located in San Francisco / Sacramento (with some work from home flexibility).

Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000 base + bonus
