JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Enterprise Digital Merchandising, Enterprise Orchestration is a key member of the Global Digital Merchandising team who will lead an orchestrated marketing approach that enables teams to execute quality campaigns by coordinating technologies and channels from planning to execution. This individual is responsible for supporting the Senior Director of Digital Merchandising Experience in implementing integrated marketing campaigns aligning various channels and tactics to deliver cohesive messaging and personalized customer experience.

This role is critical in ensuring cohesive and effective Digital Merchandising efforts that drive brand awareness, guest engagement, and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing strategy and digital merchandising, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for the hospitality industry. The Director will be responsible for crafting and executing a “North Star” for Digital Merchandising in collaboration with Marriott’s marketing team. This role will integrate Marriott’s marketing technologies (largely Adobe tools), marketing automation platforms, and data analytics tools to streamline processes and enhance campaign performance.

In this role, the Director will use cross-industry best practices to develop a robust product and placement taxonomy, advance our digital merchandising prioritization, and advance personalization capabilities across placements to ensure these efforts meet customer and business needs.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing campaign management, with demonstrated ability to manage others, including 3 years of experience with/at a Top 100 Internet property, measured by traffic, revenue, or growth.
  • Familiarity with Adobe MarTech stack with demonstrated success in managing large-scale marketing projects from conception to completion.
  • 4-year degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in project management or technology discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated capabilities in Adobe Experience Cloud, market segmentation, and front-end development.
  • Experience with analytics reporting using Adobe Analytics to provide insights to the leadership for decision-making.
  • Ideally, 5+ years of experience in Retail, with a focus on Digital Merchandising

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Manage, enhance, and execute against integrated roadmaps, leveraging experiences with A/B testing, campaign analysis, and other performance-measurement approaches, and tracking performance data over time to summarize trends and recommendations to the Senior Director of Digital Merchandising and other stakeholders.
  • Guide Campaign Managers on the Digital Merchandising Team, collaborate across Digital teams (Merchandising, Product, UX, AB Testing, Content, SEO, etc.) and partner organizations (largely Marketing), and develop integrated approaches to drive key KPIs.
  • Utilize data analytics and insights to inform marketing strategies and measure campaign effectiveness.
  • Leverage marketing automation tools and platforms to streamline processes and enhance campaign performance.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social media, and email.
  • Work collaboratively with other design, research, and UX leaders to develop the experience design practice, all while promoting best practices and user-centered design approaches that fit in well with the Marriott culture and needs.
  • Collaborate with product, program management, and technology teams to create improved product design, development, and design systems.
  • Comfortable with multiple qualitative and quantitative research methods, like surveys, usability testing, multivariate testing, A/B testing, etc.
  • Translate qualitative and quantitative dashboards/results and into an actionable design strategy.
  • Align decisions with high-level organizational strategies, KPI/MBO/OKRs, and business objectives, working with other team leaders to translate these into team and personal goals.
  • Stay on top of the latest techniques being used by our direct competitors and other brand-based eCommerce properties, and identify strategic opportunities for competitive advantages through those findings.

The salary range for this position is $150,800 to $206,700 annually.
