QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Digital-related fields, minimum 7 years of eCommerce experience, direct-to-consumer brand experience, 2+ years managing direct reports, strong proficiency in Shopify Plus and Google Analytics, and a passion for yoga and wellness.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead eCommerce sales strategy and site merchandising, execute marketing and product merchandising plans, manage site enhancements, analyze performance metrics, develop A/B testing plans, and coordinate closely with various teams for operational efficiency and product launches.

SHORT DESCRIPTION

The Director of eCommerce will oversee the North America Direct to Consumer sales channel, aiming to optimize sales and enhance customer experience while driving revenue and operational efficiency.

Designed by yogis and trusted by teachers worldwide, carefully selected and sustainable materials are paired with thoughtful design to create innovative products that allow a community of 4,000+ yoga studios, 700+ yoga ambassadors and over 2 million customers across the globe to deepen their practice.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of eCommerce is responsible for the day-to-day operations for the North America Direct to Consumer sales channel (manduka.com), achieving the annual revenue, traffic and conversion targets, while leading the site merchandising strategy for the North America DTC websites to ensure the customer experience is consistent with industry best practices and optimized based on site performance data. Reporting to the VP of DTC, this role will drive revenue targets, operational efficiency and product launches. Partnering with Marketing, Creative, Sales and Planning teams, the Director of Ecommerce will maximize sales on the site as well as working closely with the Paid Media and Digital Marketing to increase new customers, retain existing customers and increase conversion, traffic and revenue.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

eCommerce Sales Strategy & Site Merchandising

  • Lead the strategic marketing, merchandising, and assortment vision for the Manduka digital storefront including oversight of core and innovation products in alignment with brand marketing efforts.
  • Build and executes the eCommerce GTM calendar and associated creative briefs to ensure website and messaging is consistent with monthly and seasonal campaigns.
  • Own and project manage the site enhancements prioritization list.
  • Partner with paid media lead to ensure ecommerce traffic and sales goals align with always on media and DTC conversion driving media investments.
  • Maintain close relationship with Fulfillment and Customer Service teams to ensure ecommerce initiatives are supported with sufficient inventory and staffing.
  • Work in partnership with Planning, Creative, Sales and Marketing teams on forecasting and coordinating seasonal and monthly product merchandising and marketing strategies.
  • Own the selling and promotional strategy throughout the stores to drive products and trends, including the homepage and digital channels.
  • Contribute to annual and ongoing KPI goal building and sales plan process.
  • Execute weekly, monthly and quarterly eCommerce recaps and report decks.
  • Develop plans for A/B testing and consumer targeting to ensure compelling and relevant experience for every customer.

Channel Analytics & Performance Measurement:

  • Prioritize efforts based on strategic importance and sales potential for the NA Direct business channel.
  • Establish KPI’s and measurement framework to achieve baseline and stretch growth plan for channel performance.
  • Regularly analyze eCommerce performance metrics, customer behavior, and conversion rates, providing actionable insights to drive decision-making and identify opportunities for growth, while coaching cross-functional brand teams to improve overall site and campaign performance.
  • Maintains weekly ecommerce dashboard to report and communicate traffic, sales, conversion, and AOV as well as specific campaign, promotion or site experience highlights.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required - Business, Marketing or Digital-related degrees preferred
  • Minimum 7 years ecommerce experience
  • Direct-to-consumer brand experience required
  • 2+ years managing direct reports and/or ownership of a department or sales channel
  • Shopify Plus experience strongly preferred
  • Google Analytics experience required
  • Strong background in eCommerce software, tools and systems required
  • Strong project management, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and as an individual contributor
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills are required
  • Must have a passion for yoga and/or health and wellness
