QUALIFICATIONS
A master's degree in educational administration required; a six-year ed. specialist degree preferred. Minimum of three years of successful administrative experience, with four years in administration preferred. Nebraska Administrative Certificate preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct legislative lobbying efforts, assist in implementing the district strategic plan, evaluate administrators, facilitate collaboration with political entities, attend and report at meetings, maintain community relations, and manage budgets for strategic projects.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
Oversee strategic projects and external affairs for the School District, supporting the Superintendent in the implementation of the District Strategic Plan.

Title: Director for Strategic Projects and External Affairs
Reports to: Superintendent
General Summary: Assists with the implementation of the District Strategic Plan and other projects
prioritized by the Superintendent. Facilitates external affairs for the School District.
Essential Functions:
- Directs the District’s legislative lobbying efforts.
- Assists with the implementation of the district strategic plan and other district priority initiatives as determined by the Superintendent.
- Assists with program evaluation and makes recommendations for related continuous improvement.
- Evaluates administrators as assigned by the Superintendent.
- Facilitates connections and collaboration with other political subdivisions, governmental entities, and elected officials.
- Attends all School Board, Executive Committee, and Cabinet Meetings and prepares such reports for the Board as the Superintendent may request.
- Assists with the planning and attends advisory group meetings as established by the Superintendent.
- Assists in establishing and maintaining positive relations with civic, professional, business, and the community in general.
- Develops and administers budgets to support governance and other strategic projects assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Length of contract: 12-month
Qualifications:
1. Education Level: A six-year ed. specialist degree from an approved institution with a major in educational
administration or the accepted equivalent is preferred. A master’s degree from an approved institution with a major
in educational administration or the accepted equivalent required.
2. Education Level: Appropriate Nebraska Administrative Certificate preferred.
3. Education Level: Four years of successful experience in administration with experience in program planning
preferred; three years of successful administration experience required.
4. Other requirements: Leadership skills in the area of administration, management and evaluation - sensitivity to
the needs and objectives of the school and the district.
Minimum salary - 114,586
