About the Role:
We are looking for an exceptional Director of B2B Growth Marketing for Life Sciences to build a high-impact marketing engine for this critical segment. As the top priority segment within our Specialty Chemicals & Ingredients (SC&I) business unit, this role is your opportunity to drive transformative growth and unlock vast potential at Greenfield.

Our Life Sciences segment supports large and small molecule pharmaceutical manufacturers and their partners, as well as laboratories, and medical device manufacturers from around the globe. We provide specialty chemicals, high-purity ethanol solutions and solvents, and custom bioprocessing solutions that our clients depend on to develop and manufacture the life-saving products they produce.

With a deep understanding of the buyers’ needs and behaviors, this role will develop and deploy full-funnel marketing programs. We will increase brand awareness, generate demand and drive revenue growth by engaging prospects and customers across the life cycle.

Success in this role will be measured by quantifiable outcomes, including: increased brand awareness and perception among the target audience, increased MQLs and SQLs and lead quality, decreased cost of acquisition, content KPIs, and where possible revenue and ROI.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Customer Intelligence: Deeply understand customer in segment, path-to-purchase, decision making process and criteria, and decision-making panels leveraging internal SME interviews, primary research, desk research etc. Define the ICP and personas we are targeting.
  • Value Proposition Development: Develop the value proposition and messaging strategy by audience and work with communications and brand to understand how it ladders up to the corporate strategy
  • Upper Funnel Marketing Programs: Develop and implement brand awareness and demand generation program across channels that generates high quality qualified leads, including:
  • Cross channel content program that highlights brand pillars and differentiation (digital paid, owned and earned channels; events, etc.)
  • Account-Based Marketing program leveraging innovative technology platforms and informed by intent data
  • Mid and Lower Funnel Marketing Programs: Ensure leads convert quickly by implementing mid and lower funnel tactics in collaboration with sales:
  • Enhancing strategic distribution partner programs
  • Creating effective sales collateral and sales assets
  • Creating effective product assets, one-pagers and supporting new product launches with assets and sales materials
  • Customer Growth Marketing: Implement loyalty, cross-sell and expansion activities through sales, customer service, and digital channels.
  • Measure Success: Create a KPI and revenue scorecard and deliver monthly reporting package showing program effectiveness including success, learnings and opportunities to improve
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with sales, product, finance, legal and customer service to ensure awareness and alignment to work priorities as well as a seamless customer experience; develop strategic communication process to ensure company is valuing work
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date of life science industry trends, competitive landscape and customer needs, as well as emerging marketing technologies to ensure the company is creating the most effective messaging and marketing programs possible
Your Experience Should Include:
  • 10-plus years of experience in growth marketing roles, specifically demand generation and/or product marketing functions at fast-growing entities with lean teams
  • Experience marketing specialty chemicals and blended solutions to the pharmaceutical manufacturing audience, coupled with a strong understanding of the applications these chemicals and solutions serve within the industry is a must
  • Proven track record of developing and executing marketing strategies that have directly resulted in measurable business growth, including increasing MQLs, SQLs and expansion sales
  • Proven track record of working in small agile teams with an ability to create strategy in white space and drive results with an entrepreneurial approach
  • Specific experience with modern Account Based Marketing platforms, techniques and tactics
  • Experience leveraging AI to improve marketing results
  • Proven ability to collaborate across function, specifically in working with sales and finance
  • Proven ability to tell stories that resonate on an emotional level and tie to business value by driving traffic, awareness, and positive brand perception
