THE ROLE
We are seeking an International Tax Director that will lead all foreign tax matters including tax planning and strategy, SEC reporting of international activity, international tax compliance related to U.S. corporate and partnership returns, tax audits, and transfer pricing policies and procedures.
This position will report directly to the SVP of Tax and will also work closely with the Director of Tax Compliance and VP of Income Tax Accounting.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
International Tax Planning
Develops and implements international tax planning initiatives by applying knowledge of our business, U.S. international tax laws, foreign tax laws and tax treaties to minimize withholding taxes, foreign taxes, and U.S. taxes on foreign income, including timely use of foreign tax credits (or deductions) and working with the Company’s consultants
Support developing and implementing transfer pricing structures for new initiatives and modifying existing structures as the business evolves
Active with compliance on all requirements of Base Erosion Profit Sharing guidelines
Prepare technical memorandums in support of positions
Active involvement with Merger and Acquisition projects
SEC Reporting
Ensure that the impact of our international activity is properly reflected in our SEC reporting (oversee all aspects of the international tax provision)
Take an active role in ASC 740 (FIN 48) analysis and documentation
Tax Compliance
Oversee preparation of U.S. international tax forms for its U.S. corporate and partnership filings
Review the company’s U.S. GILTI inclusion and foreign tax credit calculations
Manage and train the International Tax team
Implement and oversee the company’s Pillar 2 compliance and filings
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
10-12 years of comparable experience in large corporate environment for publicly-traded company, and or public accounting with a preference for Big 4 or large regional firm
At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory role
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or related subject required; Master’s Degree with CPA preferred
Experience with an International Tax team
In depth knowledge of U.S. International Tax laws, including Subpart F, FTC, transfer pricing, and foreign currency
Proficient with Corptax
