Ability to travel up to 75%.

The Director of Major Accounts at Mighty Distributing System of America will drive revenue growth through strategic account management and new customer development within the automotive parts distribution sector.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, the Director of Major Accounts (DOMA) will work to design and implement key sales and product initiatives focused on major accounts as well as regional accounts contributing to overall Mighty System revenue growth. The DOMA will enhance and grow existing national relationships with an emphasis on prospecting and development of new business.

Responsibilities:

Major Accounts & Regional Accounts
  • Work in concert with VP of Sales & International VP of Sales on shared strategic accounts
  • Increase overall sales with current accounts
  • Assist in the development and management of rebate structures
  • Attending and supporting accounts with meetings & outings
  • Reporting and analysis of Major and Regional sales and categories purchased
  • Serve as a relationship director with corporate offices

New Customer Development
  • Identifying, prospecting and capturing Private Equity & other company’s existing and entering the automotive aftermarket space.
  • Development, management and communication of pipeline with leadership
  • Working the sales process and understanding presenting the Mighty Program
  • Working with the product department to forecast on-boarding new customers
  • Working with training department to leverage assets for value ad creation

Work with NFSM on Development of National Fleet Sales
  • Work with the National Fleet Sales Manager to grow multi franchise customer fleet sales
  • Identify and develop national car rental fleet accounts

Essential Skills, Education and Experience
  • Sales success in a B2B environment
  • Existing relationships in the automotive national space
  • Public speaking
  • Contract Negotiation
  • Presenting or facilitating products, programs and training
  • Customer service and management skills
  • Time management skills: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and programs
  • 10+ years of experience in the automotive aftermarket or equivalent sales and sales management experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
